What states are covered by this guild. I have seen that some IL Wenches who have recieved their guild pins have been given other guild numbers. I was told that IL was part of this guild local. Is this just an error? Maybe we can have the states listed by the name of the guild in the forum or the guild added to the listing of guilds? Just curious and wanting clarification. Thanks! :)

I just posted about this on the regular board. I am very curious to know too.

I saw your post as well as another a while back. I figured I'd put it here too, hopefully to get an official answer as well as to try to get it added to the chapter listing. Let me know what you have to do - if you have to have the number changed. Sounds like we are in this local and it was just an error. Lars is so busy, I wish there was something we could do to help him. :)

Check out Shelagh's answer on the main board. Looks like we're supposed to be Local #34 - just a little error. I just didn't want to be a visitor at my own home Faire

Actually everyone who joins the IWG is automatically put under the Local #69 umbrella. That way you may choose your Local. You do not HAVE to go with goegraphic location. I know wenches who live two state lines away from their chosen Local's location.
For clarification. Local #34 is based out of the Bristol Ren Faire. We cover Wisconsin and Illinois. However, if you call Bristol your home faire then you would fall under Local #34's protection. But your IWG card and certificate would still say Local #69...everyone's does.
Hope this helps.

Do you realize that Chapter #34 does not exsist in the search for "CHAPTERS" on these boards

http://www.wench.org/chapters/search.php

You might want to notifiy the Webmistress as to this status!

Actually my card says #57, not sure about my certificate, will have to check. As long as I can pick my local it's no biggie :)

Thanks for the info.

There are some areas of the IWG website that have not been updated in quite a while, and these include the chapters list and the member list. I'm working on it. We're not the only chapter that is not on that list. I'm still listed as being in Wisconsin, although I've been in Chicago for two years and have tried to fix my profile. Don't worry, when the Webmistress gets a little more time, I'm sure they'll get everything updated.

I think 54 is the Michigan Local. They are Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. Malina - you can always get your card updated (I think all of the certificates say Local 69 - at least mine does - which includes everyone, as Isabelle W said). You can pick what Local you want to be part of. We have one member from the south that considers Bristol her "Home" Faire, because she works up here the whole summer and is most active here.

Just remember, you can only pick one Local at a time to be affiliated with as a Local Member, and you can only vote in their Local elections. If you move, you can decide if you want to join the Local in your new area, or stay with your old one if there isn't a new one, or build your own in your new area!

And to be added to the ongoing National IWG database, please send a personal email to your Local Madame with your name, IWG#, rank, and whatever personal information you are willing to share (no - not your measurements!) and you'll be added to the National List. The List will not be used to send mass emails or other things like that, it's in case the Grand Council needs to reach everybody and just to keep better track of all of the IWG members.
