Hey all Today I start my 1st day in my newest goal of getting down to 4% body fat.
Wish me luck. The goal is to be down to 4% at 175 -180lbs in the next 8 weeks
A whole radical diet change and excersice regiment that should take me there as long as I keep to it

Ditto - good luck on the endeavor. Are you taking before & after pics? So you can see the results...sort of like when you do remodelling or restoration... :) )

Looking foward to see the results. I've ordered a caliper to gauge the results

Ok day 3 and sore it was a rough going this morning but I got through it. The funny part about all this is that the diet is the esay part the excersice is brutal

Are you taking any anti-inflamitories? A lot of pro atheletes I know take them on a regular basis (as in scheduled, no matter how they feel) because they help them with the pain and inflamation from training.
Glutamine and Glucosamine and some Motrin worked wonders for me when I was in Boot Camp.

Yup taking 2 advil in the morning with my daily regiment as well as Creatine from EAS, Glutamine is in the pack as well.
This is day 4 and feeling strong and lean with tons of energy just had my 5th meal and am looking foward to the Dojo tonight.
Course the only side effect that I found thus far is all this extra stamina

So this weekend was a great one on Saturday I got up at 7am went for a run did 2.5 miles then hit the Dojo at 9am and was there till 12pm (worked extra hard and so so sweaty that my uniform could be rung out. Got home hit the showers and the wife wanted to go hiking. Poor thing I think I nearly broke her on the hike 450 acres through Hacklebarney state park in NJ. Took us 3 hrs to do the entire park and all the trails as well as running up and down the fallen trees and crossing the river across the rocks, you would figure after Chimeny Rock in NC afew weeks earlier that she would know better  . We ended up getting home and I wanted to go dancing but she was just tired out so I went and rented movies and brought back dinner and ended the night in cardio
Sunday we hit the Outlets in Lancaster PA, I recamend the Nilsey Winery if anyone is into wine try the Black Rasberry corgle (great dessert wine) spent the entire day walking and shopping. I also suggest Millers resturant on RT 30 in Intercourse PA.
Monday I woke and hit the weights then we spent the day with friends at a Mem day BBQ.
This morning I let myself sleep in til 5:30am and plan on hitting the Dojo tonight for my cardio.
Hows that for keeping up the plan. Looks like I'm on target and the waist line is trimming out and the wife noticed the legs are getting cut so the goal doesn't feel that far off 8)

So here I am coming to a close on week 2 and the inevitable happens. I always suspected the wife of sabatage, she didn't take to kindly to me revamping my diet(though I did not force it on her). I get in last night from work at 8pm, the night is shot I had no energy to hit the weights and LAw and Order was on TNT. She ambushes me with a 6 pound lasagna. But no not just any lasagna it was her Nana's recipe mad from scratch, pan of decidence . So being the man that I am I reminded her of the goals that I set before myself and how that lasagna will set me back....then I had 2 HUGE heaping servings :bananada: It was sooooo good.
Oh well I'm back to thegrind folks

Think of it not as cheesy, saucy, destructive decadence, but more like carb & protein loading for today's workout! :aok:

My buddy Aaron once told me that the reason most diets fail is because people try to stick to them 24/7. The most succesful dieters diet 6 days a wekk and pig one day. Just make sure that after that one day you hit the gym extra hard. So that 6 pound lasagne was your gluttony day just make sure to keep on track with the rest of the stuff.
Good luck I know im pulling for you. Hopefully youll inspire me to do somehting with my wreck of a body LOL

Yeah its that I had to use the free day yesterday instead of this Saturday at a friends Grad Party  I hold a strict 24/6 day regiment 1 day with no workout and all gluttony :ilu:

Thats the 2.5 hrs of Martial arts 5times a week is
I hit the weights 3times a week.
So today despite better judgement I stepped on a scale. I'm down to 180lbs the boby fat counter has me down another 1.5% so I'm getting closer to my goal. As long as that damn lasagne stops taunting me
Shadow, The Body for Life book changed my life definately read it then put it down for a week and reread it to be sure. Its a great program but like Bill Phillips says its not a diet. It a life change. enjoy the reading

Just an update.... Lets see I'm down to my target weight of 175 and the muscle stirations are coming in deep (my wife made me shave the chest and stomac to show off the new definition) still have some work to go if I want those tight chissled abs though.
Wifey was so impressed that she wants me to train her and go for my ACE cert and become a full time trainer. But thats for later thought Good Luck to everyone
