Hullo, all.

Well, having seen what was once our garden, I now understand what Betty meant by the Faire's having to regrade the area, and there's not much we can do til they're finished. Thus, there's not much point to having our Local Meeting on site. (I did, by the way, take some pictures of what's happened out there, which I'll post AS SOON AS Y'ALL REMOVE ANY OLD PICTURES YOU CAN FROM OUR PHOTO SECTION. Fear not: all the plants are saved, and we're merely moving the whole shebang a few feet to the left.)

Accordingly, the idea's been floated of having said meeting a couple of other places: I've offered up my apartment, near the Philly airport, and Leah's offered up her house, in Lansdale.

Now, much as I'd LOVE to have you all here, I have to admit Leah has one thing I don 't have. Well, two: a matched set of grills. And a deck wherein they can be fired. Okay, three things. In other words, not only would we have our Guild-Wide Meeting, we'd have us a dandy Pot-Luck Barbecue.

So I guess it's fairly obvious where my vote lies. How about everyone else's?

Well.....the grills aren't a matched set <g> -- though if I'd known I was going to inherit one from the former owner of the house, I'd have skipped purchasing one last summer. OTOH, if I hadn't purchased it, I wouldn't have been able to have several lovely get togethers last year...and the Demi-God wouldn't have gained the valuable experience of putting the darn thing together, and.......

Oy. I'll stop now.

Anyhoo, as Nikki said, Casa Adezio is being offered up -- nay, not as sacrifice to the home burning gods  , but as site for the meeting. I've got plenty of room, plenty of parking....I just did some sprucing up of the upper deck yesterday -- put up new flower boxes complete with impatiens, swept up, did a little rearranging of the deck furniture, and so on.

There are two gas grills with burners, so we can prepare just 'bout anything.

(I'm going to be shameless and beg Chris and Ria -- if they're still coming out -- to bring some early Jersey corn -- this Jersey girl misses it so -- and I will happily pay for it!)

If you need to bring young 'uns, school aged and up are easily handled -- the basement is Game Central and my boys should be home that day (and I do have a small, fenced in back yard). If your small folk are younger, they're welcome too, but be advised that my house is no longer baby/toddler proofed and you probably will end up chasing after wee ones saying 'No, don't touch' more often than you'd like. :)

OTOH, our townhouse development does have a huge, lovely playground geared for wee ones right down the street, so there is a chance of bribing the Demi-God or any other older kids whom you might be bringing to herd the kitties to play for a bit.

And speaking of which, if you have allergies, be advised I do have two cats (though the house is kept well vacuumed so there isn't tons of cat hair all over the place) <g>.

Well, I guess that's about it. I look forward to seeing everyone, Wench, Rogue and Merc!

Could everyone who needs directions to Leah's please PM or email her?
