Invasion Gratitude!

To My beloved Wenchfriends of Local #74. I thank you from the botom of my Roguish heart for the best Invasion in recent memory.
I watched Psyche blow the Sheriff right off the stage. I reveled in the song stylings of Tempest and Whiskey. I got tripple jiggled right off of my seat. I saw Kevin receive the first official Wenching at Newcastle and later get Whiskey's Ass stuck in his hair. I reveled with you at pubsing and you all made me feel like a GOD!
I love you all and cannot wait to return the favor...all of them, muhahaha, at CRF this season.

I am quite distraught that I did not get to meet you up close and personal! You were pointed out to me at the pub on Saturday, but alas, I did not get to come properly introduce myself. I suppose I shall just have to make a trip to CRF to meet you and all up there.

Again, thank you to all the GA Wenches and Rogues (and those from other places, as well!) for making the weekend so memorable. :) It was so wonderful to meet so many of you in person for the first time, and for others, seeing you after many long months. :)

I love you especially for all of the special help and consideration that so many showed to me over the weekend. Your kindness and love made something that was very hard for me (my first time doing Faire with a wheelchair) something that was wonderful for me. Please know that you brought so much happiness to me with every laugh, every favor, every kindness. I love you.

i also had a great time! i need to get in touch with a GA rogue i met while there..he has some pictures of me and i of him (plus i was using his camera at Kevin's wenching and want to know how they turned out :D )...and so he told me to email him...but i don't have his email... i can only remeber his faire name, sergi karento. if anyone has his email or aim or whatever could you pm me please. thanks! can't wait till next year (do ya think it might be cooler??? :D )

I just wanted to post a little tidbit about this past weekend, too. I know I didn't introduce myself to everyone, but did get to talk to a few folks at dinner on Saturday evening, and then again on Sunday at the Faire. I'm pleased to have made your acquaintance, and look forward to getting to know you all better and to also be introduced to those I didn't get to meet!

Well it has taken me nearly a full day to recover from the faire and from the drive home that Cerunnous and I did over two days. The second day of the drive was really nice as we decided to trek along Virginia's Skyline drive making several stops along the way to shoot pictures and just take in the beauty of the landscape. Of course our little side trip cost us about 4 hours but we were only 6 hours from home at this point and as Cerunnous said "it is a vacation afterall."

First I want to thank the GARF wenches for orchestrating the invasion weekend. I had the most wonderful time as did Todd (Cerunnous). It seemed like the 3 days of faire just flew by. Well, all but Sunday when the heat was so oppressive as to make any day seem like a long one. Thank you for setting up the wonderful dinners and getting the hotels and communications out there for so many of us that came from far far away!

We met anew many wonderful people and saw some old wonderful people as well.

John, my friend, you are as always as wonderful as ever and simply scrumdilliscious! Thank you for standing up at our handfasting. It meant so very much to both Todd and I since through you and Bea that Todd and I met and have become bestest buddies. I am looking forward to seeing you at Tux in August.

Beatriz, what can I say? You bring such light and laughter no matter where you are. You are such a sweet, beautiful and wonderful wench, with a hand trick that would make any man shudder!!!! I am so hononed to have finally met you. Thank you for the laughter and smiles that you brought to me. I cannot wait to see you again in a couple of months at Tux. I'm still wondering what did you say to Kevin that he keeps getting devilish looks about? You are the BEST wenching wench I have ever seen!

I'm so bad at names and I fear that I will leave so many out and if I do it is out of my bad memory that I do.

Allie, you are a sweet soft wonderful wench and I miss you so. I hope that your trip home was safe and good. Thank you for sharing your spirit and wenchly love with so many. To your friends, Tinker, and the other young man who's name I have not remembered, I am blessed by meeting you both.

Tempest, Psyche, Kevin, and so many others. You are all wonderful Rogues and Wenches and you do the guild proud! I hope that we will see you all soon at another invasion.

Thank you to all who came to our inpromptu handfasting and made it so very special. I'm still floating from that one folks!
