[I know this post is long, but please read this all the way through since I have many different requests all through it. Thanks!]

Help, I need somebody,
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, HELP! :D

Okay I'm not the Beatles, but the sentiment is the same. As incoming Local Madame it falls to me to appoint some very special jobs to willing vict... um volunteers. <G>

Actually I consider these jobs more important & hands on than being Local Madame.

Please email me privately at rhul at siubhan dot com if you have more questions (clarifications, etc.) or wish to be considered for the position.

On to the jobs...
(Official Descriptions are at http://www.wench.org/about/electoral.php & again remember the levels are by years *going to fair*, not years in the IWG or years dressing up at fair.)

Walk Leaders
Well this is pretty self explanatory. Previous experience is great but not necessary. (Although I would like someone who has been on numerous walks at the MDRF site.) BTW I'm also willing to consider apprenticeships for those who'd like to train to be a walk leader in the future.

Oh on a sad note, I'm doing away with a position. Because of how many official acts are performing in the streets of MD it's impossible to sing while walking. Thus I will not be appointing a Song Leader. (If a song is requested for a Target hit, the Target Coordinator &/or I can work something out.)

Arbiter
The IWG doesn't give a specific job description for this but it does say, "A Guild Local must be administered by a Local Madame and her Lieutenant Madame, with an assigned Arbiter (of Hussy status or more) or Dame to break voting deadlocks." So basically I'm looking for someone to be a fair & impartial judge when I can't be.

Dame of the Hostel
I feel like the President who's just been told that there are aliens at Area 51. Apparently there might be problems with the Hostel we've had. (PLEASE! If anybody has first hand knowledge of what happened, please email me privately. All I've gotten are 2nd hand rumors that I need to clarify. Thanks!) Basically if we don't have a Charter House, we can't have a local. So this year the Dame's role is going to be incredibly important for the survival of our Local. Basically we need a procurer extraordinare.

BTW if *anybody* has leads on sites/booths at fair that would be willing to host us, please please please let me know about them. We need not have an official Wench working there, just permission. The minimum would be for us to be able to leave the Emergency Supplies box there & to be able to have access to it during the fair day. What would be wonderful would be a dealer who would allow us a place to leave things like water, munchies, personal items and a place to "get away" for a few minutes. (Also if anybody has information on merchants, & others, the Local may have angered in the past please let me know privately. One thing I'd like to try to do during my term is attempt to repair any burned bridges we may have.)

And finally my favorite job...

Target Coordinator
As coordinator you get to schedule & run any special Wenchings/Presentations that happen at fair for the season. (You even get to have TargetWench@yahoo address!)
The requestors are responsible for getting access to the "victim" & any gifts that might be given. (It’s sort of like playing with Grandkids… most of the fun, few of the headaches. <g>) Also be aware that this position is the "Warm-Up Box" for becoming Lt. or Local Madame. (It's my own fault, Keltik did warn me... <g>)

Rach - when I was younger, so much younger than today... cause writing this took freakin forever! ;-)
