This past Saturday was the Second Annual Team Wench Prepare for Faire Yard
Sale. This sale was hosted by Nea, and drew people from all over the MD/NoVa
region.
In one morning, approximately $1800 was raised for Colon Cancer research. As
there is no walk for this cause this year, the Team is cutting a check to

What's that? You couldn't make it to the sale? Never fear! Some wonderful
items are left, and these will be sold on ebay in the coming month.
Just what could be left over? Faire items waiting for you! Here's a sampling
of what to watch for:
- picnic baskets
- silver plated goblets
- feast gear utensil sets (fork, knife & spoon OR knife and spoon sets),
some wooden and some metal
- sets of matching, small salt/pepper shakers and several unmatched salt and
pepper shakers
- brass and crystal candlesticks. Matching sets and single candlesticks.
- metal serving plates, pewter dishes
- unlined green wool cloak, full length, with hood
- reversible bodice, appx size large green/brocade
- green brocade skirt with matching velvet bodice
- mauve moresca peplum bodice, size large
- white/floral men's doublet with sleeves, size "skinny"
- wine and cheese baskets, with corkscrew, wine glasses, cheese board,
napkins. One with regular wineglasses, one with handblown glass goblets
- deluxe fancy feast gear for two in basket: tablecloth, napkins, utensils,
plates, bowls, goblets, candlesticks, corkscrew, and salt & pepper shakers
- embroidered pouches
- plate/bowl sets of wooden feast gear
We want to thank all of those who stopped by and shopped the bargains we had
this year. A tired team was glad to have raised so much for this cause. As
Kathy says, "half of the population has breasts. But everyone has a colon."
