Hotel Suggestions?

Does anyone have any hotel suggestions that are not on the faire website? I know that the Hampton Inn Manheim is right across the street from the faire, but they are booked the weekend I'm looking at.

So, suggestions on alternate places to stay?

Any place that IS on the website to avoid? Any place that gets praise (other than the sold out Hampton Inn, that is)

Well I don't know how close to the faire you want to be, but the first time that hubby and I went, we stayed at Mainstay Suites in York (20 miles away)

Do Not. Stay. At. The Red Carpet. Just don't. One of our Wenches has horror stories, and I've heard similar things from others. It's the closest after the Hampton Inn-- which I adore-- but don't be fooled.

The Country Suites isn't bad, from what I've heard.

We're kicking around Pirate weekend. Nothing firm yet, I just sprung this on him yesterday. But, I wanna go SO bad, and I *am* rather spoiled, so we'll see. It's going to depend upon a few scheduling kinks to work out.

Wanna go to PARF. Wanna see Ysobelle. Wanna go PLAY! Wanna kidnap Bonnie.

well for opening weekend at PA me and a friend are trying wyndam harrisburg-hersey, Never stayed at one but i have heard many nice things about them. Opening weekend coming up I"M READY I'M READY!!! :D Even have some nice new garb to go in, got a lovely chemise from crimson gypsy(actually i lie, Its absolutly gorgeous) and i have black roses gareentee my new bodice shall be here by thursday in time to leave(they really are angels to work with) 5 more days......

Try the Quality Inn in Lebanon. It's 7 miles north right on 72. Clean, quiet. Hubby and I've stayed there a few times. It's also closer to the Chinese buffet.

If you want dirt cheap, but still clean. There is a Rodeway Inn almost right next door to the Faire. But I warn you, it's not the Hampton. Not even close.
