I'm sorry, I had to share this with you all! I was asked by a dear friend of mine to be a groomsman in his wedding in the fall of next year!! I positivley love the idea, because his groomsman are all going to be kilted! I have to wonder what the brides family is going to say about having a female groomsman in the wedding party!

Depends on the family, I'd guess. I was "Best Mistress" (lol) at my male friend's wedding several years ago. "Best Mistress" came out by mistake, because the officiant didn't want to refer to me as the "Best Man" -- but what a boner it was! ROFL My friend's family had no problems with it, however, even though the rest of the groomsmen were, well, MEN.

Well, I'm glad some one has done this before. the last friends wedding, I was allowed at the bachelor party and the bridal shower ( the bachelor party was definetly more fun) But this is a little different. Still funny though.

It probably has less to do with the bride's FAMILY, than with the bride - are you close friends, how does she feel about it? Does she have something planned like, the groom's attendents are supposed to escort the bride's attendents down the aisle, that you might affect (although it shouldn't)?
I wouldn't have a problem with it but thought I'd just throw a couple of thoughts out there. Sounds like fun.

We had two women stand on the groom's side...they wore feminized versions of the doublets that the guys wore...it was awesome!

My daughter was "best man" for her brother....oh.....seven years ago. She wore a tuxedo dress to kind of match the men. It was just a "regular" wedding.
The only funny part of it was that she's 5'4" and all of the men were 6'2" and over.

Best ferret, sitting on a padded pillow held by a groomsmen (reality- squiming off pillow)
ring in pouch that is hooked to floral wreath collar. (reality- almost lost pouch when he ATE the flowers)
