Hail fair wenches, a handful of Michigan rogues (and a couple wenches) and myself (The Order of the Wandering Eye) are headed down to your shire on the weekend of Oct 23rd and 24th. We would hope to find ourselves some rogues and wenches down there and get ourselves into some trouble. Anyone going to be there that weekend? We'd certainly not want to miss the lovely wenches from Ohio :)
Plus I have some questions for you gals if you might be able to help some scoundrelous rogues out:
Who is the wenches guild liason down there (take us to your leader)?
Are there any wench activities going on that weekend that we should not miss?
Anyone know of methods to get cheap/free tickets at the fair (and could you help us out)?
We're also looking for lodging, so if anyone has any suggestions for decent hotels/campgrounds nearby, that would be much appreciated.
When/where would be a good time/place to meet up with some wenches?

HA! you're not going to believe this griffon - i might (read: i really hope so, but am not sure yet) be there that weekend... perhaps we can not meet again there!

If my friend agrees, I may be down there on that weekend. We won't be in garb though, boo hoo. She has none and though I could make something, I don't have a cloak and neither does she. I don't think she'd go in garb anyway. We'll come down for the shopping and just to spend a girl's weekend away.

My Rouge and I with our little one plan to try and be there closing weekend. Sorry though since I am new to OH, I have no answers for your questions, but would love to get the answers to some of them myself.

We will be most easily found at the Pub or Craig of Farington's shows. We will be the wench and rouge with a Jeep baby stroller along.

Whoo hoo! I get to go the last weekend. We'll be there bright and early on Sat. I got smart and reserved a hotel room for Friday night. My friend and I will be driving down Friday night so we won't be all stiff from the car ride. I'll even be in garb. My friend agreed to dress up too.

Can't wait to see another faire out of state.

If the hotels near Cinncinati are booked, try Dayton area, it is only about 30 min and they have ALOT of hotels due to Wright Patterson being there. There are several inexpensive ones at the I675 Exit for Wright State University. As for entrance, you can order tickets on line for a discount and pick them up at the Faire. (www.renfestival.com) Though you do have to order them at least a few days in advance.
