Last Halloween, mom dad and I went to a pirate themed halloween party aboard a famous ship here in San Diego.
My mother made a lovely dress, and she informed me today that after wearing it once and laundering it , she doesn't want it anymore. I am about 4 inches taller than she is, so there is NO WAY I can wear it. :cry:
It is sage green cotton, the bodice is interlined with canvas and boned with spring steel. It laces up the back through nickel grommets. The bodice has short split sleeves with a cuff and bows (in matching ribbon). Chest 44in, waist 36in, length-13 in, sleeves 10 in long.
The skirt (which was too big for mom but she made this dress at the last minute) has a waistband and is unhemmed. The waist is 38 inches, but if you move the button it makes the waist smaller. It is 43 inches long. It has 120 in hem circumfrence, and it will accomodate a hoop.
Toss a short sleeved chemise on underneath it and you are all set. It's a little post period for most faires, but it's really lovely, and I don't know anyone here it will fit.
She wears about a size 16-18, but the dress was little big on her, so it would probably best fit an 18-20, between 5foot5 and 5foot9.
She does't care how much it goes for, but I'd really like to surprise her and get $70.00 for it (about how much the supplies cost her). I'll foot the bill for shipping, priority with insurance and tracking. I can have it to you in time for halloween.

I've also got some skirts and snoods for sale. I found them when packing up my work room today.
I'm footing the bill for shipping on everything in that folder, trim, garb, snoods, everything. My brother and his wife are moving in so I'm losing my sweatshop :cry: :cry: :cry:
