Okay, this was wierd...but I googled my name like WitchWench was talking about...

It seems 85% of the individuals with whome I share my name were writers and/or artists. There were 2 or 3 that were scientists in biology That's bizarre, because those are my two loves, besides music. And i studied biology in college

And actually, my own name never came up once, so nobody's talking trash about me.

somebody else give it a shot and see if you find a common thread!

heh... I did it about 3 or 4 weeks ago and found a lot of historical women with my name. Not ME however. I'll have to do it again and see if I can find that thread that's unique to the name - or at least common to it. ~L~ It was funny to see all of these women with my name.

Bonnie Strangeways

Besides a bunch of hits from our Web site and our performances, I get

"Bonnie Prince"

"Strangeways, Manchester" (Home of Boddington's Ale, brewed in the Strangeways Brewery in Strangeways, Manchester....damn fine beer if anyone's interested!!)

"Bonnie Raitt" (Whom I idolize!)

"Strangeways" (Which is apparently a music group...I've never heard of them.)

Jeannie Fitzgerald

I got no hits for Jeannie Crewson. There were over 600 hits for Lady Fitzgerald (I didn't bother to check to see if I was one of them). There was one hit for Lady Jeannie Fitzgerald. Big whoop!

:hmm:

"just Lori" got 1,850,000 hits.

The first one is a news story about Lori Hacking--lovely pictures of her.

I think I'll stop searching now.

just Lori

I changed from my maiden name to my married name and discovered that somehow I was made the Prime Minister of New Zealand.

Wish someone'd told me that.

I once looked up my last name (actually by accident) and spent the next hour perusing through the US Patent website. It appears that there used to be a Burrall Cornsheller (corn ears go in and kernals come out!). I was disappointed to find out that for some reason it has our name on it, but the patent is in someone elses name. But my great grandfather had a patent on a tire tread that kind-of looks like bells (like the cookie-cutter shape). Weird!

As for my faire name, lots of hits for the play/musical (expected). Also found another BookCrosser from England, only a year younger than me (neat!)!

Hey I just found out that I have been married for years & didn't know it. (Same exact maiden name even the middle one) What was even better, I found my field services business information online. I guess it does pay to be listed in a directory. Now if I could only get a decent amount of work from it. And I found waaay tooo many Kimberly Godsey's . Hmm might explain the bill collectors calling about bills that I know nothing about. They have the wrong one. hehehe

My full name got no results, but just my first & last: I'm really old, lots of kids, and all 3 of them were dead. bleh.
My faire name was more interesting. The first page was all in a different language, and then I'm either a male musician, or a branch of parliament in Wales.

Adriana Rose

The search for my faire name returned x-rated sites for a dominatrix by the same name in England...... I'll leave it at that.

When I search my maiden name (Scaggs/Skaggs) , I mostly find genealogy information on my family back in Kentucky, and musicians. Boz Scaggs. Ricky Skaggs (cousin). And the Kentucky Elementary School Educators Music Teacher of the year!

My married name (Dane) mostly returns genealogy information on people I've never heard of, nor my husband. I get stuff on Great Danes, The "Dane of the Year" - whose name is Mary.

When I search my husband's name, the first thing I get is a "Memorial for Donny Dane" - who was a relative of his. Then a FAQ on archery - which my husband wrote years ago. Then information on Great Dane resques.

My faire name comes up with technology and real estate sites. My real name comes up with a porn site, a steamboat, and girl from the peace corps.

Artemisia

Your search - artemisia moltabocca - did not match any documents. :pfft:

Artemisia alone brings up websites about Artemisia Gentileschi - an Italian painter in the 1600's. I decided on Artemisia because my mundane name is Diana. I decided to have an Italian persona for the SCA because Artemisia is an Italian name. Only after these decisions did I start to learn about this painter. It's too weird that our life experiences are similar but my paintings are at a kindergarten level compared to her work.

It also brought up the Association for Anthroposophical Health Professionals, which is a holistic approach to medicine beginning with fundamental medical and therapeutic training, then adding spiritual scientific studies. This is weird too, because I'm a Reiki Master (ancient Chinese healing art used at many hospitals).

I guess my name works for me. :D
