Oh my God I am SO THERE! I absolutely loved the Narnian world!
(My rogue had to come into the computer room to see what all the yelling was about! :oops)

I went to see Blade 3, and I saw the cardboard cutout for it in the theater, I nearly fell over! I am SO excited!!!!!! When LOTR came out, and I saw what an amzing job could be done with a series of stories that I *never* would have thought could translate to film well, I was wondering when the hell Narnia would be done. My husband has never read the books (poor guy), but he sees how excited I am. I just hope he can appreciate the movie as much as I appreciated the books as a child.

So, who has seen the trailer? We saw the one at the beginning of Star Wars 3. Awesome!!!

Looks like it's going to be fantastic!! Any comments?

I completely agree! I saw the trailer while waiting for Star WarsIII to start. I was immediately floored, turned to my rogue and said,"We HAVE to see that one." I liked the old movie and LOVED the books. I picked them up again a few years ago and read straight through them. The audio book is also fantastic. In a summer of possible yawners, I am really looking forward to "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe."

YAY!!! :cheer: I LOVED these books when I was younger! I never liked fantasy, but these were so good they even got me hooked.

I was just looking at a copy in Barnes and Noble, on the table of summer reading, where they put all the classics out. I was thinking how much I loved them and wanted to read them again, and now I KNOW I must. I hope they do really well, its not a movie one should make half-cocked. (hehehe)

Ahh...it's good to see others as excited as I am about this. I thought I was a raging dork.
I loved these books. I read the entire series through 3 times. And I can't wait to see how these turn out. I'm dragging friends and family to see this with me.

If you're planning on reading the Narnia Chronicles before the movie release, and don't have a set of the books, consider picking up older editions from used booksellers. Supposedly (I haven't totally confirmed this yet, but have heard it from a couple sources) the new editions of the books have had some cuts/edits made to censor supposed racist content. Not to mention the fact that they are now boxing/numbering the books in chronological order, rather the order in which they were originally presented and intended to be read.

I'm not sure what content specifically they're referring to, but a) take it and interpret it as you will, and b) take into account the time period in which these books were written.

I'm sure picking up my old set (had it since I was about 6!) from Mom's next time I visit.
