Subject: Update from Linda Sutherland

Friends of Faire is the Booster Club of the
Renaissance Pleasure Faire.
As such, we actively support our Faire through out the
year and in many
ways. Now our Faire needs our help. Many of you have
asked what about a
"letter" from "me"? Will it help if "I" write one?
What can "I" do?

Below you will find the e-mail addresses and phone
numbers for each of
the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. I am
also adding the
Division Manager of the Regional Parks for the County
of San Bernardino
and the County Administrative Officer and the Public
Information
Officer.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SEND ANY EMAILS OR MAKE A PHONE
CALL. -- DO NOT
SEND ONE E-MAIL WITH ALL THE ADDRESSES or COPY TO
EACH. SEND EACH
PERSON AN INDIVIDUAL E-MAIL. (SPELL CHECK - SPELL
CHECK - SPELL CHECK)
Before you send anything, please read it again.

1) Be professional in both your language and speech.
Do not do any name
calling or whining. Don't exaggerate* about your
involvement,
importance or make threats.
2) Stress what YOUR financial contribution is to the
economy of the
County of San Bernardino. Where and how do you spend
money in the
County? Do you stay in hotels, motels or camp grounds?
How much do you
spend per Faire visit or season?
3) How often do you attend Faire? How many years you
have been a
patron, performer, vendor, etc.
4) How many people do you bring with you? How many
people do you invite
that do attend? Do you bring people from other
countries and if so,
which countries? Do you talk of the County of San
Bernardino in a
positive manner as the "Home of the Original
Renaissance Faire.?"
5) If you live in the County of San Bernardino, please
note that fact,
especially to your County Supervisor. If you travel,
give your city or
state.
6) If this is the only time of the year that you ever
visit the County
of San Bernardino, other than traveling through on a
freeway to Las
Vegas or Arizona, please so* state. What other event
would draw you to
the County of San Bernardino? Is there anything here
that you are
interested in attending other than the Renaissance
Pleasure Faire?
Other than Faire, would you seek other opportunities
to spend your time
and money here?
7) Why do you attend the Faire? Tell of your positive
experiences,
educational or historical learning opportunities.
Life-long friendships
that have developed.
8) If you have attended School Days or the original
Workshop in the
Woods at the Faire, please tell of your sparked
interest in history and
your continued pursuit of it.
9) How is the loss of the Faire being held at Glen
Helen Park in the
County of San Bernardino influence your perception of
the County? Does
it make you anxious and concerned about becoming
involved with other
events in the County? What do the actions,
pronouncements by government
officials and termination of the Faire say to you
about the County of
San Bernardino and/or it representatives?
