My mom gets the same thing. She has a daughter that is going to be 32 a son who is going to be 27 a husband who is going to be 52 and she is going to be 53. She looks and acts like a person at least 20 years younger. The only real problem that she love to march me out when she is at work...tries to put her arm on my shoulder and says "This is my Little one." Oh well...

Dedeley
01-27-2005, 09:41 PM
That's because to your Mom, you're always going to be her little one. Sorry, part of the Mommy Code and Rule Book. Right in the chapter after "Guilt."

As long as your girlfriend doesn't call you that, you're doing fine!

thungar
01-27-2005, 09:42 PM
I KNEW there was a reason I like you!! What would you like to learn, young one

Well my dear WHATEVER you would like to teach me. I am always willing to learn. Plus if I like what is being taught I might come back for extra credit.

Dedeley
01-27-2005, 09:43 PM
Any particular, er, subjects, you might be interested in? Anatomy, perhaps?

Wenches LOVE overachievers . . .. . . go for that extra credit!

Dedeley
01-27-2005, 09:45 PM
Hi, SwtLvbleBrian, I see you're lurking! Any word on that job interview you had last week? I missed "chat" last night. What did I miss?

thungar
01-27-2005, 09:48 PM
Any particular, er, subjects, you might be interested in? Anatomy, perhaps?
I dunno maybe we could try Phys ed or maybe Lit. but I would take all of the tutoring that I can get.

OOOh is this a new show? :o Dedeley and Thungar 8) settles down to watch. First time I have been around when a show starts.

Dedeley
01-27-2005, 10:00 PM
Get out the popcorn, girls. And by the way, he LIKES the, ahem, mature ladies.

Watch out, Thungar, you could have a harem pretty soon!

thungar
01-27-2005, 10:03 PM
Now Now Now I do not mind....Did you say Harem. ummmm oh never mind...

"tosses chocolate and irish cream on the floor and runs for the door."

Dedeley
01-27-2005, 10:04 PM
Ah, see, fickle, fickle, fickle . . . . . . . :(

Dedeley
01-27-2005, 10:11 PM
Rosefaeries, what type of show would you like to see? Thungar and I are at your disposal, right, dear?

thungar
01-27-2005, 10:13 PM
Me Fickle never just a little awestruck to have such lovely ladies at my side.

Dedeley
01-27-2005, 10:14 PM
Ah, such honeyed words from one so young . . .

thungar
01-27-2005, 10:18 PM
Thungar and I are at your disposal, right, dear?
As always my dear. You say the word and any one of the ladies wishes is my most ardent desire.

Dedeley
01-27-2005, 10:25 PM
There are too many ladies here ready to be a-wooed by such a handsome and willing man. A man ready with sweet words, chocolate, and irish cream.

Alas, my heart is engaged to one already (blushing from hip upwards), so I must needs dabble only in the courtly type of love (and at times, sewer-ridden innuendo).

I am sure that there are many unattached ladies here who can be worshipped in the flesh.

thungar
01-27-2005, 10:36 PM
I my dear only speak the truth as I see it. The manners that we show and the words that are spoken are but honey to the soul. To tempt and to woo are the nature of man when confronted with the beauty that is always placed before him. To pluck a rose from a garden without asking if I may is but the gravest of insults. So may dear ladies the words are but the begining of the question. The dance shall always be led by the ladies even when the man thinks that he leads.

biker
01-27-2005, 11:20 PM
I'm going to stop trying to tempt you biker...

[quote=Morghan] Hey might be as good as I once was... But I'm as good ONCE as I ever was...

Ahhh... but that tends to leave a question remaining....

it's an old injury hon... ~S~ many years ago I was an admin for an exchange student agency and the regional webmistress... I was working some late hours one night on the website and I wound up locking my elbow while I moused things around. I was tired, my hands were tired, my arm was tired and stupid me should have just gone to bed. hours later when I did go to bed, I didn't think anything of it. The next morning I couldn't move my elbow or my wrist and ever since, when I do a lot of computer work, my wrist acts up, gets tender to the touch as well as motion and I wind up spending time in the wrist brace.

carpal tunnel here I come. ~snuggles the bunny~ he doesn't bite does he?

Been there, got that. I take daily ibuprofin to allow me to move my wrists enough to turn door handles and be able to type. I bring my own natural keyboard for work and have found some spiffy gel pads that releive pressure for the keyboard and mouse though........

BTW ladies....what are we doing, opening a zoo? **wanders away muttering albatross, llamas, and ducks...oh my!**

Sarah a funny for you!!! and how does a wench injure a finger? no dates? lol

A West Texas Cowboy's wife came home just in time to
find her husband in bed with another woman. With
super-human strength, borne of fury, and cutting
calves, she dragged him down the stairs, out the back
door, and into the tool shed out back of the barn.

She put his tally-whacker in a vice, and then secured it tightly
and removed the handle. Next she picked up an old
carpenter's saw. The banged up cowboy was terrified,
and hollered, "Stop! Stop!

You're not going to cut it off with that rusty damn
saw, are you?"

The wife, with a gleam of revenge in her eye, put the saw in
her husband's hand and said,

"Nope. I'm going to set this old shed on fire, and go
to town for a cold beer.

You do whatever you want!!!

Actually, it is! It's even better when we open the presents in front of the family at Christmas time. Last year, I have him the wrist shackles - the old fashioned type, from Ebay, of course. My cousin knew that I had given him that, so cousin bought me a shiny pair of modern handcuffs so that I "wouldn't feel left out."

The dungeon idea works better in theory than practice. Basically, means a couple of swords, a mace, the shackles, etc. hanging on the wall in lieu of pictures.

Hi, Mags!

Margaret
01-29-2005, 09:01 AM
Morning Ducky! Hugs to you and your clan.

We have some 'sword like objects' hanging in our library too. As well as a few daggers a mace and a war club or two. On the upper shelves, well away from the wee one.

They are not sharpened or anything, but the edges and weight of the things could do some damage to a person...

Hi, SwtLvbleBrian, I see you're lurking! Any word on that job interview you had last week? I missed "chat" last night. What did I miss?

OMG, I've even been invoked/called out... Well, the reason I have been lurking lately is that I did get that job. I'm just not used to being at work by 6-7am yet. For the past 2 years I've been in retail on the evening shift. So this is definitely a wake up call. The job is nice and I like it so far. I didn't stay that long in chat Wed night so I don't know what was missed. Maybe someone else can shed some light on the subject.

Question to everyone.
Is it strange that I have only had 2 "real" jobs in my life? I have been a Home Health Care Assistant & am a Supervisor for a banking call center. I have worked other odd jobs here & there. Like a pin setter for a bowling alley, or course mowing lawns, babysitting, working on the carnival, and doing the Work Study program when in college. But, I have only had 2 "real" jobs in which I applied for and went in for an interview. Just wondering.

I worked in a fabric store for 2 years right after high school, was an admin for an Exchange student agency, did temp work for American Airlines (9/11 was my termination date) and finally wound up in the job I'm in now. it's all good, because honey, anytime you get a paycheck from working, it's a real job.

nope not strange. I've had a number of part time jobs just for extra cash, but only 1 real full time job. Not that P/T isnt a real job mind you. Most of the P/T jobs Ive had were fun though. ie bouncing at a strip club, working at a paintball park, undercover security, Bodygaurd for a freak stripper. (you know the ones who have basketballs implanted in thier chests??) All of those where fun jobs. The only real job I've had is the military.

No, not strange, Branwen. Although these days, you're lucky to stay in the same job for a long time. The "old days" where people worked for 30 yrs for the same company don't seem to exist anymore. Except where I currently work, which is an anomaly. (We just had two people retire with 50, yes 50! years service.) I read somewhere that the majority of people don't stay in one job for more than 5 yrs.

Biker, sounds like an interesting career you've had!

Yeah, that "love of a good woman/man" will get you every time. Next thing you know, you have pets and kids and start thinking mini-vans might not be that bad. Changing a diaper with a hangover is usually a great cure for drinking, too.

I know what you mean - it gets really old, tiring, and lonely after awhile. I think we've almost all been there at some point. As long as you retain just a leetle of the badness and defiance, you're fine. That's why we'll all be very interesting old people. The type kids don't mind hanging around with. That's my goal!

*groan* Yes, I've made my visit to the Horse and Cow. What a DUMP! Meat-Market anyone??!

I only went once though, wasn't my scene. Watching the desparation on those women's faces as they try and "hook" a paycheck by marrying into the Military was just too icky for me to sit around and watch. Besides, they water their liquor!!! *outraged* 'Sides, *embarrassed look* I got in a fight with one of the local "bubble-heads" (that's a sub-mariner for those who aren't familiar) and got asked to leave by the bouncers. Guess it was me hollering "Devil Dog" while kicking his a$$ that they objected to. *snerf*

Every once and a while, we drop by the lounge at the Ho-Jo (Howard Johnson) up the street from there, and we also like to watch the barfights at The 19th Hole.

Gotta LOVE those Military towns!

Oh jobs, lets see... I got my first 'real job' a few months after I graduated college. I worked as a direct care staff in a group home for behavioraly disordered teen age girls. Move back to Mich. and started in a group home for adults with developmental disabilities also as direct care. Also worked PT in a kitchen store. Then got hired in at Arkay - a supported employment program as a job coach, so then I was PT at Arkay, PT at the group home. Eventually went FT at Arkay and a few promotions later, it turned from 'job' to 'career'. Even then, I had PT jobs either to fill up time or fill up pocket book - picture framer, video store chick, secret shopper.

Other jobs I have done are waistress, counselor at a Christian camp (stop laughing - I can hear you!), personal assistant to Dr. James H. McGrath, hotel maid.

Don't really think you need a entirely new license, just an addendum to your current one. Of course that rule could differ from state to state. Please make sure you check with your local Secretary of State before attempting to drive bats. Or any other small flying mammal.

I was just thinking, I've had a lot of jobs, but they were all in the same career field - contracts, procurement. That's kind of boring. I worked in a VA Hospital over the summers when I was in college - clerical work. Met some really interesting people there.

There was one guy who always wanted to get out of the hospital on the first of the month, so that he could go out and spend his disability check on booze. Eventually, he would get picked up for being passed out and brought back to the hospital. This happened every month. One month they wouldn't let him out when the check came. He promptly threatened to commit suicide, which meant that he got put on a suicide watch - never left alone. They even made me, some snot-nosed college kid, watch him during lunch times. He would try to shock me by telling me about his weird sexual escapades, usually involving the "Queen of the Gypsies," thinking I'd let him out. (No offense intended to any gypsy or Rom personas). I didn't let him out, but boy, did I get an education listening to him!

D the Horse and cow was a great bar, has long hasyou realized it was there for the militrary and what do sailors wnat??? It was a bubble head bar has well. I was like the only airdale to go to it. Yeah, unfortunately there are a lot of places like that outside of military bases. The paycheck, base housing and absent hubby are very appealing to some . . . well, I'll call them women.

I know a guy that got involved with one of those women while he was in the Air Force. Just a kid. He actually married one of them. The family only found out about it after he came home and married ANOTHER girl at home. While he and the girl from home were on their honeymoon, his CO called his mother, looking for him. She said, "He's on his honeymoon." CO said, "How can he be on his honeymoon, his wife is standing right here next to me?" Absolute mayhem ensued . . .

TWO divorces and a general discharge later . . .

I have a bridal show to attend with Poppet. This should prove to be interesting. I am Moonsplash's maid of honor, so I have to attend. Heck, its going to be a total blast. Moonsplash's Mom is going as well.

Yesterday Moonsplash watched Poppet for me while I visited my Grandad. I thought that he looked great, and he did when I was there. I guess my parents went back later on in the evening, and he was barely concious.

I worked on my paper most of last night. I have some minor editing to do before I hand it in, but I feel pretty good about it.

Well, survived the Disney Princess game, now just biding time until the Chuck E. Cheese extravaganza. I like taking her to Ceasar Land much more - there they have the big 'gerbal tubes' and a bunch of other play stuff, at Chuck E.'s al they have are games. Can add up pretty quick in the dollar area. However, it will give me a chance to work on my doublet. I swear that thing is getting launched pretty soon - or I will wear it without the cursed collar :augh: :cuss:

Invoking The Silvertop Rogue, Morghan, Artos, Phee - how did you all make out at Amid Punners' Eve?

Afternoon Dee - well, we're all alive - I think :) From and audience POV - it was a huge success.. and overall ran pretty smoothly....

Phee - was not only indespensable to me and the event - she was an absolute HOT success with her Cherry Tart number - they even asked for an encore' (I'll let her go into more details herself) .. Artos was an "obstacle" in the "Quest for the Holy Grail" - he did the Black Knight - and was pretty much unbeatable....I went for my dagger authorization - and passed it - and during court was called before their Excellencies and brought into the Order of the Zule (for service)... Fiona and her Rogue were absolute "LIFE SAVERS" -- I ended up short of servers when several didn't show up.. so Fiona helped with serving the feast and Phil handled the technical aspects of camera, CD player, and VID recorder... I don't know how I'll ever be able to say THANK YOU - to those two.. As for Po - well, he had quite a day.. I will say - he was beyond spectacular on the list field and another who without his help and support, the event would not have seen fruition - but beyond that - I think it best to allow the Master of Linguistic Prose - to detail his day - himself ;)

It's probably going to take all week to sort through and put away the stacks of boxes and bags in the living room.. and even longer than that to physically (and mentally) recover... However on a more personal side note - I was able to prove something to myself, which I needed to do... and additionally - it very visably (and painfully) showed me - just who - when committments and promises are made - can truly be counted on..

The feedback overall has been very positive.. and I believe Endless Hills will now be seen in a new - and more positive light, than they had been- previously.. although I believe I may be the recipient of some "pay-backs" for the clown noses...

/me emerges from billows of blue smoke from the Corner of Chaos... (Thanks ILM!)

Hail all!
There's nothing as magical as opening night (when it's running well).. and nothing as bittersweet as the closing performance of a run (especially if it went well).
To have both those feelings in the space of just 24 hours is a bit of a whiplash. Almost 24 hours after the event has officially closed- and I'm still feeling both the agony and the ecstasy...

Quoth Ex-Autocrat Morghan: As for Po - well, he had quite a day.. I will say - he was beyond spectacular on the list field and another who without his help and support, the event would not have seen fruition - but beyond that - I think it best to allow the Master of Linguistic Prose - to detail his day - himself

M'lady, as Autocrat's right-hand and official problem-solver and all 'round utility infielder- I was kept busy and challenged... items to acquire and transport, set-pieces to set up and strike, an innumerable quantity of details and situations to attend... it brought out the stage-manager in me (something thathappens rearely outside the theater...)

As a proud swashbuckler-mentor... watching Morghan and Artos both during authorization matches and tourney-matches: I could not have been prouder. (though it always brings a smile to my face when I recognize occasional elements of my own style when they appear fleetingly in the motions of some students...)

As a performer during the feast: playing and improvising off of Morghan and Artos and Phoenix.. as well as a few minor moments of Muse-inspired lunacy all my own... All I can say is I'm indebted to Morghan for allowing me to "take the stage" in front of a captive audience and give me free-reign to wander wherever the muse of comedy was willing to lead. I think we hit most of the allwable high-points.. Shakespeare, whipped-cream, Mime, feast-bow flung marshmallows, whipped cream, coconut brassieres... Did I mention whipped cream?

As a Tourney- obstacle/Fencer/etc... Ok.. I fenced.. I enjoyed the hell out of myself... as the Knight who said "NI", and as a component of the Three-headed Knight, nd as a member of Lancelot's Wedding Party.. I had fun.. (and I'd like to allow myself a small smile that my honored opponents generally found me more dangerous and challenging than they might have originally expected...) If anything rivalled my pride at Artos & Morghan's fencing, it was the feeling of closure at passing my own *final* authorization- and at the hands of the Marshal who presided over my very first auth. years ago!
As for "spectacular on the listfield"... (sigh).. I won't say anything. Years ago I sky-dived for the first time... and my chute did not open but the point is that [i]while it was happening I was too involved with what was happening to imagine how it looked to others.. or how it affected anyone but me.. it was a purely *zen* moment.. eternal NOW... --Saturday on the listfield was like that: ..no thought.. just the zen of swashbuckling... I'll leave it to the witnesses.. Morghan, Artos, Phee, Fiona, Phil (who happily filmed quite a bit) to decide how well I acquitted myself.

If anything Phil and Fiona -who triumphed by playing the cavalry and saving the day at the last moment, unplanned- deserve more credit than they recieved.. and Phee- who conquered stage-fright and charmed anything with a heartbeat.. (and whom made *my* court appearance bearable by providing some exquisite scenery)- and the Autocrat herself for bringing it all together.. to all of you I cry "HUZZAH!" (and I'll happily take the stage or the field with any of thee again...)

oops- Y'know what? I seem to have gone over-long. Umm... whom was it that accused me at feast of being the most long-winded, eloquent, verbose, pontification-prone teller-of-tales in the barony? (hint- he's much more silver now than he was 24 hours ago!)

Huzzah to each and every one of thee... and my most hearfelt thanks... (and yet more chocolate..)

s.

-and those of you with footage... film and video.. I WANT COPIES! (and I have a few photos already!

With all this praise floating my way, what is a humble rogue to do? Bask in the glory of it all of course :D In all seriousness, I couldn't have been more proud of my sis passing her second form authorization, Way to go sis. And I couldn't be more thrilled to see a mentor in action and knowing the ecstatic sensation he felt fencing. And though I didn't pass my attempt at authorizing in a second form, I do have the sadistic satisfaction of knowing I knocked my authorizing marshal to his knees with one good shot to the torso. I didn't pass, but I made it darn worth failing. I'll try again more carefully soon enough. The event was spectacular, m'lady Phee was a radiant star shining brightly in the darkness. And when her turn came to entertain the populace present, all were held spellbound by her beauty and grace, not to mention her wonderfully seductive tango, of which I was lucky enough to be the direct focus. Many congratulations to my dear sister, who braved all the obstacles and put on a splendid event, of which I was most happy to be a part.

(and also why I cannot keep it in my fencing bag o' doom in the trunk of the car in summer! )

and I *could* throw a "red herring" into the conversation... As Madame Autocrat and Rogue Artos presented me with a big wooden padded red herring to fence/parry with as the Knight who says "NI".. a wonderful toy- and just as appropriate for "spanking" as 'tis for parrrying.. (heh, heh, heh...)

..and needless to say.. Chocolate was procured and passed 'round.... but you expected that... Did you not, M'lady?

Huzzah for you all! Whipped cream (or, as Her Grace still calls is whup cream), red herrings and all.

*comes out of the kitchen with a coffee service, bagels, muffins and scones, oh Deeds, the clotted cream and jam are over there*

Hey Po, will you remeber to tell ILM that your enterance smoke is leaving quite a dust on the rug. Can they fix that?

Happy Monday all and everyone!! Won't be able to chime in again until the afternoon, but the coffee is fresh and the baked goods are warm.

Oh Biker, can't a Rogue claim to be humble if it will suit his needs and purposes to get what he wants in the end?

Huzzah to all who participated and had fun! Congratulations on a successful event. And where is Phee of the seductive tango to tell her tale?

I would suspect Phee will happily tell of her tale and adventure when she returns home - as at the moment, she's still here - basking in the wonderous joy of new love

 The whipped cream was indeed a big hit - for the participants of the schtick - and for the general audience at hand.

Thank you m'lady - et all... I'm just glad its over. Personally - I'm still trying to weigh out everything - however, the scales have not yet come to rest fully - so I'm still a bit uncertain as to how I actually do feel about the overall weekend (backstage and audience viewing perspectives). I'll keep ya posted as the tangled mess in my brain sorts it all out

Oi... just when I get on a roll, something goes wrong. *I* think it's out of alignment. But what do I know? It's clicking at me every 10 stitches or so and the bobbin thread is all sorts of jacked up on the fabric. So, in it goes, along with the serger. :( this is gonna hurt.

THE RECTUM STRETCHER!
While she was "flying" down the road yesterday (10 miles over the
limit), a woman passed over a bridge only to find a cop with a radar gun on
the other side lying in wait. The cop pulled her over, walked up to the car,
and with that classic patronizing smirk we all know and love, asked,
"What's your hurry?" To which she replied, "I'm late for work."
"Oh yeah," said the cop, "what do you do?"
"I'm a rectum stretcher," she responded.
The cop stammered, "A what? A rectum stretcher? And just what does
A rectum stretcher do?"
"Well," she said, "I start by inserting one finger, then work my
way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in. I work from side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly
but surely stretch, until it's about 6 feet wide."
"And just what the hell do you do with a 6 foot asshole?" he
asked.
>
You give him a radar gun and park him behind a bridge..."

Ok.. Invokations public and private.. eh? ok... Tell you all a story? Oh- OK!

"The Double-barrelled soft-parry of doom and debauchery"

Once upon a time there was a generous Wench- and I mean generous in several senses of the word.. not only was she kind and supportive and willing to share both her sparkling personality and humor- as well as her candy and toys.. but she had also been gifted "generously" by the Bodice Goddess as well...
...upon hearing the lamentations of a old friend and rogue ("oh, where oh where will I ever find the perfect soft-parry to bring a smile and a laugh and a distraction onto the listfield as I fence?") The generous wench went on to ask just what the rogueish friend needed.

... and *blushing* did ensue...

When the blood returned to the regions from whence it came- the young wench returned home, and after careful contemplation- she granted the swashbuckling rogue his request. A "retired" and no longer serviceable piece of structural lingerie was donated from the lingerie drawer to the rogue's fencing bag o' doom.

.. but empty lingerie alone does not a soft-parry make... and so the swashbookling- uh.. I mean *swahbuckling* rogue filled the generous (in all senses) donation with homemade beanbags containing a quantity of popcorn.... and took it to an event to fence with...

Now this story could continue.. I could tell tales of the crowds reaction.. and of the Baron who insisted on *wearing* the donation while fencing... but that's another story, Boys and Girls.. for another time...

And Sir Silvertop, I cannot imagine your causing a lady to blush.

Dede's? I *have* made Wenches blush.. and Maidens as well- but it's almost always Live... as the warm blood rushing to the face and neck enhances the taste whilst nibbling... I'd provide references (some are on this board, as a matter of fact....) but a true rogue (and occasional gentleman) doesn't nibble and tell.. (unless it's convenient  ) -and kindly lose the "Sir"? I'll not pretend to honors I haven't earned... A knight I'm not.. and likely never shall be... Heh, heh, heh...

OOPS, got distracted there for a minute. The mere mention of warm blood rushing . . .

a true rogue (and occasional gentleman) doesn't nibble and tell..
Huzzah! Love the "occasional gentleman." I'm an "occasional lady," usually when in Mommy mode.

And kindly lose the "Sir"? I'll not pretend to honors I haven't earned... A knight I'm not.. and likely never shall be

Were you not one of the Knights that says, "Ni?" And cannot you be a knight in the fantasies of maidens? Methinks you do protest too much.

And Biker, we can always count on you for the really snappy, innuendo-filled, just-leaning-into blatancy one-liner. It's a gift shared by Apropos.

and.. for those with concerns about the carpet- I've cancelled ILM's contract, and bought a Rosco-fogger... so we can do the special smoke effects in-house now....

Dede- I *may* play a Knight- either knowingly onstage or on the field.. or unknowingly in the minds of others.... but the reality is quite, quite different. Methinks you do protest too much. -Again- like on the listfield- I'll have to let the jury decide...
[ /me lights the candles and uses the big bar of chocolate to inscribe the circle as he invokes members of last Sat.'s Bodice Brigade... "Oh Morghan! Fiona! Phoenix!" ]

(.. is it just me again? or does " /me ' also no longer work?)

on a completely different note- later this eve, I'll be posting tomorrow's newspaper book review... anyone in NEPA who wants a chance at a copy will have advance notice of the title for the phone-in for the two free copies...

Just got this in my mailbox from a friend of mine.....

Here is a piece written by Andy Rooney - CBS 60 Minutes

As I grow in age, I value women who are over 40 most of all.

Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 40 will not lay next to you in bed and ask, "What
are you thinking?" She doesn't care what you think.

If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't
sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do.

And, it's usually something more interesting.

A woman over 40 knows herself well enough to be assured in who
she is, what she is, what she wants and from whom. Few women past
the age of 40 give a damn what you might think about her or what
she's doing.

Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match
with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of
course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they
think they can get away with it.

Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They
know what it's like to be unappreciated.

A woman over 40 has the self-assurance to introduce you to her
women friends. A younger woman with a man will often ignore even
her best friend because she doesn't trust the guy with other women.

Women over 40 couldn't care less if you're attracted to her friends
because she knows her friends won't betray her.

Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your
sins to a woman over 40. They always know.

A woman over 40 looks good wearing bright red lipstick. This is
not true of younger women or drag queens.

Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far
sexier than her younger counterpart.

Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right
off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one! You don't ever
have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons.

Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart,
well-coiffed hot woman of 40+, there is a bald, paunchy relic
in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 18-year-old
waitress.

Ladies, I apologize.

For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get
the milk for free." Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women
are against marriage, why? Because women realize it's not worth
buying an entire pig, just to get a little sausage.

Zodiac signs vary as much as there are 112 different shades of red... OK, not that much. Take my eldest niece for example. She's born on Oct 23, one chart will put her as a Libra, one will put her as a Scorpio. (doesn't matter to me, I get along smashingly with both. :P ) She's born on the cusp, as it were. Tenhk yew girls! oh yeah I had an absolute blast this weekend! I was brought to tears, being so honored to have been asked to carry a pike in court procession. I cannot explain how much that gesture touched me. I met a whole new, wonderful group of lovely, kind-hearted, generous people... I'm actually speechless trying to describe how magnificent a time I had. I got to witness live fencing for the first time... such a beautiful form - grace & precision... coupled with deadly timing. Utterly amazing! Methinks I'll have to introduce my Mini's to the dance. Hmmm.. wonder if there's anybody who'll be willing to teach some young'uns? :D

As far as my own dance... I'd say after all the butterflies & nerves... I think it went rather well. I got the audience giggling in the right places, and quiet otherwise. Not bad for a thrown-together number.. that had to be ad-libbed in 2 places, cuz I forgot I couldn't do a certain move while in my Hard-Leather Corset... the IronMaiden, as I lovingly call it.

And as far as the 'encore'... uhm Po, dearest.... I believe YOU are the one to 'blame' for that. Although I admit, I did have fun. :) And they captured it on videotape, too - talk about Blackmail ammo.

All in all - to be included in the group so heartily and instantly... was just simply incredible. I cannot say enough about Endless Hills... utterly and amazingly open-hearted and generous to this particular newbie.

Off to start planing for a Very Special Beltaine celebration..................... ;)

I defy ANY of you Ladies to peform the Dance of the 7 Veils in my presence and expect me to miss it. (hell- I bet you that not a one of you would get to the 7th veil! -I'm notoriously impatient! Heh, heh, heh...)

(Sell the books, sell the books...)

Now, Fiona! -You *know* the last time I had the Time Rotor up to speed in here we had duplicate posts, phantom pages, and the zodiac still hasn't been recalibrated!

Ok, M'ladies... let me get this straight...

3 shapely, attractive, talented Wenches are gonna hunt me down, and collectively perform the Dance of the 2.33 Veils for me?

Uhm, dearie.....the Go Get Him Girls from Mags... was for dancin for Po....

And methinks you'd better see what Artos has to say about him bein attacked.....

Artos O'Dalriada
02-01-2005, 04:55 PM
Yes, let us see what Artos has to say..... and I do believe it would depend on 'whom' is doing the attacking, and that particular list has been narrowed down considerably...*checks list* yup, only one name on here. belongs to a certain tall fiery wench ;) (yes, that means you Phoenix)

Phoenix McHeit
02-01-2005, 04:56 PM
Although I *definitely* see the perks of attackin said rogue... and I can't blame a gal for wantin to........

02-01-2005, 05:07 PM
Well, I believe for starters, there's the wonderful scent you give off.... perfect for cuddlin. then, there's the strength in your body... not to mention that you definitely 'know how' to kiss....

and the rest of this list shall have to be in PM, darling. ;)

Artos O'Dalriada
02-01-2005, 05:22 PM
Well, my dear, that certainly does present a valid point.

Hmmmmm... methinks I may have put the poor rogue at a loss for words........

(wonder how many shades of red he went)

That'll teach ya to throw a gauntlet at me, m'dear.

Artos O'Dalriada
02-01-2005, 05:30 PM
The gauntlet my dear? bah. I only threw a set of silk scarves, all the better to bind you with my dear. and of course i'm keeping a rose and a bar of Toblerone stashed away for a visit in the near future

Artos O'Dalriada
02-01-2005, 05:47 PM
ah m'dear, but real life does bed down for the night, and that's when desires come out to play

Phoenix McHeit
02-01-2005, 05:50 PM
Truly sir... however when said Real Life beds down into the wee hours, desires can be overshadowed by the limitations of mortal flesh capabilities.

Artos O'Dalriada
02-01-2005, 05:55 PM
well, i suppose sleeping in after an active night will be in order then. After all, I'm sure I can awaken enough vitality to sate said desires for a time.

Phoenix McHeit
02-01-2005, 05:59 PM
"waking the vitality' is never in question, m'love. Having enough energy to put Toblerone et al to use, however... can be. Methinks we'll just have to be sure there's not a theatrical production taking up the waking hours this time.

Artos O'Dalriada
02-01-2005, 06:02 PM
I do not see a theatrical production taking up the waking hours in the near future m'dear, so i don't believe there will be any worries, unless of course you'll be too worn out
