I have this idea, to make and bottle my own scented body washes and lotions and possibly sell them on e-bay. I've found a resonably priced base, but am having troubles finding reasonably priced oils to use for the scents. Any ideas, and also does anyone think this might be a good idea?

I know if you sell food stuffs commercially, you have to have a food grade kitchen - I'm not sure about external stuff, but I would check that out before investing. You wil want to get a wholesellers permit - license - whatever, so you can buy wholesale - much cheaper. As for sources, I'm no help! I will check with a friend that does it and see where she recommends.
Personally, I would never buy something scented off a website - I need to smell it and make sure I like it... And that it likes me!

thanks, I'll look into that, and I completely understand about not wanting to buy unless you have smelled it to see if you like it. It's just a thought that came to me, which is why I asked for some feedback.

Take a look at the posts on the thread titled "pure scent"...about where to find oils. The same offer applies here :)

we carry a quality oils on our site www.dragonmarsh.com
I on;y use themin making bathsalts for the store.
depending on your locations you may need packaging permits and a sterile place as even if it is not internal it is on the skin.
Also think about a simple insurence in case some twit buys a lotion, breaks out and sues you.
good luck
