Okay wenches, we (Heather, Holly, and I) are starting to put together a schedule of events for this year. I need a head count of anyone thinking of travelling this year, and where you all would like to go. So far we have trips planned to:
Celtic Fling, last weekend of June
Michigan RF, second weekend of August
Ohio RF, either Viking weekend, or the last weekend (October)
PARF, planning, but no date yet

I would like to add either Maryland, Sterling NY (not NYRF), or North Carolina (fall one). So now is the time to add your $.02!!!

I'm game for any and all of the above, depending on my finances of course.

Hey Bean.....I want to add my $.20! Last year I went out to MD the weekend after PGH was over. I only have the one weekend free before I have to get to Carolina but it would be nice to go with a group {heh, heh, not that it wasn't nice last year, going with the boy :wink: }

I see you're planning on attending Fling at Mt. Hope. If your group is interested, the Harrisburg Shakespeare Festival is putting on "Henry V" that Friday night in Reservoir Park for free. Some of us who flinging that weekend are planning to kick off the festivities by attending this show. For more info, see the "Celtic Fling with a little bit o' the Bard" threads.

hey kiddo, it HAS to be viking weekend at ORF... heather is one of us now, plus we will be around somewhere that weekend I am sure. Dinner with the vikings sat night if nothing else... Breena is the future viking queen so she must make at least an appearance lol....
And ask Heather, you need to come meet Breena!!!

{{{{bearhugs}}}

Can't plan too much of our schedule since baby will likely affect where and what we do...

I would love to be part of this, being new I could use some guidance OK not some but a lot .Ha Ha
I would like someone or ones to help me. I do not want to be a big dork as my kids would say. :oops:
Is there any way I could ride or car pool with anyone to some of these or just follow in my own car?
How do you arrange where you will stay?
So many questions sorry.

Welcome!!! I haven't checked this part of the forum for awhile so I missed your post at first. I can't really help on the trip taking since I've never gone on any. I live down in WV and am a bit too far to partake in all the traveling fun. Bah!! Anyway.. I'm sure some of the others will chime in sometime on all the details on the different trips. You might have to poke them a bit to get their attention!! :lol:

I am always flexible for stuff provided I have the money and whatnot. I would really REALLY like to go to Celtic Fling and to the Maryland Faire...all else are negotiable to me although Ohio sounds good too.

*ducks head sheepishly* Sorry for going awol for so long.

Michigan RF, second weekend of August

Woo Hoo! I'm all up for attending this one with you lasses! :D

Although, depending upon timing, we may be flip flopping again. My family and I are going to Pgh to visit relatives sometime in August... Time will tell, time will tell.

I'm checking out the boards and trying to figure out which Faire(s) to try to get to. Are there any recommendations on which are better than others are are they all good. I'm in Albany NY and have to budget to get to the Faires, get suitable garb, pay rent, utilities, the usual stuff. Also have to ask for time off part time job. And I have to pray that the old horse, 14 yrs and counting (named Blazer) can make it to the faire.
