My husband ( who is 37) thought he was having a heart attack Friday and Saturday night. I have been in the Emergency room for two days straight. They cannot find anything but he feels like his body has changed dramatically and is feeling awful.
I feel like crying every 5 minutes. He is my second half I kept thinking what if I loose him, I would go crazy.
So keep us in your thoughts if you would. Thanks

Prayers going up.

Btw.....I felt like that and it was my gallbladder. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack the first few times. See if you can get the dr. to check his gallbladder.

Keep us informed.

If they'rve ruled out a heart attack, he needs an ultrasound - of the gallbladder and of the portal vein - both cause severe, excruciating pain that can be mistaken for a heart attack and can be very debilitating - DON'T let the docs send him home without further investigation!

Thank you guys. The doctor ordered a stress test for him to have done today. The kicker the stress test cardiac place cannot find the orders from the Emergency room doctors.
So on top of everything else I am trying to get the emergency room to find the orders to have them resent over. God why can't things be easier in a crisis. I guess then it would not be a crisis.
I asked about the gall bladder they told him pain was not on that side of the body. Hes fine when he is not moving around when he gets up he feels the flutter in his chest again and is out of breath.

I had several gall bladder attacks when I was pregnant and the pain was never on that side. With those kinds of attacks one often has referred pain which means that you are not feeling the pain in the area that is causing it. Even if they don't think that is what it is, it would sure be nice if they did an ultrasound anyway just to rule it out.

Either way, I hope he starts to feel better soon. Sending lots of healing prayers his way and I lit a candle for him as well.

More healing Mojo heading your way.

I have to also chime in about the gall bladder. I had attacks and in my case the pain was not in any side, it was right in the center, and felt like a giant was pressing a hand in on my chest and back and pushing them together. Really scary at the time. I thought it was heart related too and was surprised that they wanted to check my gall bladder but sure enough that was the culprit. If they can't find anything wrong with his heart or lungs, you should definitely ask them if they have ruled that out.

Oh, and take care of yourself! You won't be any good to him if you exhaust yourself with worry! Make sure you take breaks to destress, get something to drink, snack, whatever.

Good luck!

and here comes another dose of Mojo from me, honey. My dad's been through a heart attack scare and a quintupley bypass that left him in a coma for a week. was never so sick in all of my life as when both of my parents had their respective surgeries and medical treatments.

Well, Its NOT THE HEART
He had a stress test this morning that came out perfect. They are checking into gall bladder and pancreitis. He is being referred to a gastrointestinal specialists.
My husband is so relieved he thought he was going to die. Now hopefully they can get down to what is going on.
Thank you all for all your good thoughts and prayers....What a great group off people yall are

Good - at age 37, it would be tough to live with a heart condition...

You can live quite happily without a gall bladder - not that much of a diet change either!

Well I am pissed and stunned.
They sent my husband home ( the internal medicine doctor) with depression meds. Now my husband has had anxiety attacks in the past. He say there is no way no way this was one.
They took blood told him results will be back in 3 days.
He is still having symptoms. He cannot go outside and come back in without being short of breath. He will all off a sudden get cold and clammy feeling like he is going to faint. He works with engineers on plans he could not even get the words out right to explain how to do something.
Needless to say I don't know what to think.

Take him to another doctor. Get a second opinion. Depression meds are usefull when you are depressed but too many times doctors use them when they can't find out whats wrong. They assume its depression when there are alot of things that could be causing your husbands problems. If he is having trouble getting the words out to explain something demand a referal to a nuerologist. Keep a diary until the appointment and write down what happened and when it happened. Seriously, it is better for the doctors to think you are a pain in the but than for your husbands symptoms to go unchecked.

Heres an update. We went back to the emergency room Wednesday and he was admitting. I have come home today just for a little peace and feed the cats.
They have run numerous test and found just a prostrate infection so far. They are leaning towards anxiety disorder( which my husband does not believe) it embarress him to even think about that I believe. We will be in there a couple more days. He is having cat scans off the body today and they are doing some kind of electrode test on his brain.
I am sooo exausted. I feel so bad for him. This just sucks.
I am sorry but I am just so tired and want to crawl in a corner somewhere and cry.
Thanks guys for your advice and support.
