KAF? How was it?

Hello all,
I wish I could have gone to KAF this past weekend with my troupe, but we were not all able to make it up together. I had a gig pop up for Sunday with a rehearsal on Saturday.
Let me tell you, it's really depressing going online, and seeing no one in your buddy list on, because everyone is at faire :sigh:
I hope everyone had a fun time! I think I will be seeing a few of you next weekend anyway at Stockwood, correct?

First off, if you missed KAF on Saturday, be happy. Of course it was great to see people and hang out but only one word could describe the weather....ick.

Luckily since the faire is at Hammond Castle, a lot of the vendors were able to move inside where it was warm and dry. Some others were not so lucky and had to brave the rain and 50 MPH winds. I know of at least one vendor who lost her tent in the storm.

I helped out at Potted Fox all weekend, so I didn't get to see much of the story line, except what was done on the Ocean Lawn. I have to say Local 24's madame emeritus as Morgan La Fey was specatular as always. Playing evil looks like so much fun. Oh, and if she ever wants to get rid of the dress she had on this weekend, I get dibs!

The weather Friday was wonderful. Clear and sunny, if a bit chilly. The place was loaded with kids. Sunday was more wonderful weather and a chance to meet lots of new people and especially, lots of wenches-to-be.

Last but not least, we did very well on cookbook sales, raising more money to donate to Make-A-Wish.
