Okay, as many of you know, I run a non-profit animal protection organization that deals with criminal animal cruelty cases. My organization is linked from the websites of the ASPCA, American Humane, HSUS, and other "big boys" in the animal welfare arena. We have been featured in People Magazine, and I have appeared on the G. Gordon Liddy show twice to talk about the organization. (My point in telling you all this isn't to stroke my own ego - just to show you that this is a legit organization that is getting national attention.)
As it stands now, I am still the focal point of the organization. I still add most of the new cases that come in, write the content for the website, send out the newsletters, etc etc.
Our growing media attention is wonderful, with one major drawback. The number of cases submitted continues to increase - but the number of people available to add case information does not. This results in an ever increasing workload for me, with no relief in sight. As such, I am desperate to find a handful of reliable people who can help with this.
We have a sophisticated data entry area, and all cases are submitted to a work queue, which is handled by a mailing list.
If you're interested in helping, please let me know. Required skills are:
* Attention to detail - this is critical!
* Some level of writing skill
* A strong stomach for animal cruelty
I know this opportunity isn't for everyone - we deal with some pretty awful cases, and we frequently deal with photos and/or video - not stuff everyone will be able to handlle. That said, if you think you might be interested in helping me (and the organization) out, please drop me a line. I'm at my wits end. :(
