If anyone has any info on the wherabouts of an inexpensive serger, I would LOVE to know about it! My biggest concern will be that it can do the roll hem thingy. (and serge of course, lol)

Thanks everyone!

hey sweetums...

I got mine off of ebay for about $100. just keep hunting. of course, the off side is you know all about the exorcisms I've had to do with mine (personally I think it's more user error than anything with the machine!)

also, find a sewing machine shop around you. they might have one or two, or can recommend a good inexpensive place.

Hon, you know that both Eric and I have Sergers... til you find one you can always visit and use. Have you checked out Baers? They've got a great selection of sergers, ebroidery & sewing machines. I'm not sure what the prices are, haven't been there in a while. But it's right downtown and so easy to find, that even I can find it. And that's saying a lot about it's availability. There's also a Hancocks over in Clarksville, just down a light or two from the mall. Ma goes to a serger class (will bring and show pretty bag she made for me in the class this weekend), and she just had a class this past Monday (think it's once a month, or every other month, not for certain), but I'll ask her if she knows of any here abouts.

Thanks hun! Unfortunately, I barely have time to get this stuff done so going anywhere other than my hous isn't a good idea... :(

You're a busy bee! Well, check out Baers... talked to Mama... they sell traded in Sergers for as low as $200. Apparently the Hancocks ones she doesn't endorse, she thinks they're cheaper quality.
