According to Doctor Who magazine, the actor playing the Doctor in the new BBC series quit immediately after the series was renewed for a second season. It's a shame. I haven't seen any episodes yet, but he looked interesting.

I believe there is a limit, but I don't remember what it is. My husband would know. One of the proudest moments of his life to date was premiering our fan film of Doctor Who at the convention in Van Nuys 8)
