Robin of Sherwood

Do you remember the Robin of Sherwood series? The first 2 seasons starred Michael Praed as Robin, the 3rd had Jason Connery as Robin.

For those who didn't know, Network DVD has released a limited version that will run on USA DVD players. Here's the link.

I bought it a few months ago for myself and have loved re-watching it. This is a boxed set, with special features.

I was a JUNKIE for this show in the 80s!!

Played on Showtime, Thursdays and then the exact same episode the next Sunday - I watched both!

I think this would be an EXCELLENT Mother's Day present for some lovely hubby to give me! Have to start dropping hints!

I actually was one of the founders of the North American Robin of Sherwood fan club. We had a couple of conventions during the eighties when the show was still running with Richard Carpendar (the wiriter and producter of the series) as our special guest. Lots of fun. and I still have some autographed photos of the cast.

I did videotape all of the episodes back from the Showtime days on my Beta VCR and I still have all of those tapes. I have been converting them over to DVD with the help of my trusty computer if anyone is interested. I'm halfway through the second season right now. (I also have the new Doctor Who as well).

Richard loves that series and has a few episodes on VHS. I think I should surprise him by trying to find the DVDs (although I'll have to raid the change jar)!

I was laid up about a year ago after back surgery, so I was spending wayyyyyyy too much time shopping online.....(evil evil internet :twisted: ) Anyway, I ended up paying the $$$ and bought all of the DVD's (I think there were 8). I was very happy with it though. I have watched it with fond 80's memories....ahhh.... :thinking:

Picked up the complete DVD set of seasons 1-3 last year. Gave them to the GF last Christmas.
