Hello!
I'm the volunteer coordinator for the Vermont Renaissance Festival, which runs this year June 25-26 and July 2-3, 9-10 and 16-17.
I'm posting this because I'm looking for volunteers for any or all of this year's run. Positions I'm looking to fill include stage hands, gate, gift shop, parking, maintenance, games and assistants to certain of the directors. I also have a couple of slots left in other jobs like feeding trough associate and queen's guard. Before and after the faire, if people want to help out but have their faire days free, we're looking for setup/breakdown, shire beautification (decorating), promotions and some sewing.
Does any of that interest you? If so, please let me know at volunteer@vermontfestival.com. I'm trying to accommodate people's preferences, though I can't make promises. Volunteer shifts are for a full day, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Volunteers will receive two meals, a complimentary ticket and the CD given to the actors, with the songs and dialogue the actors receive.
I've been blessed to be with this faire since its beginning, and I can tell you it's at least as much fun behind the scenes as it is out front.
