Anyone going to be there? We are planning to head out on Friday night, and have reservations at a local state park for camping the entire weekend. We'd love to hook up with other wenches/rogues at some point.

Also - any must-sees while there? We have never been to this faire, so we are completely unfamiliar with what to do there.

Welcome!! the best thing that you will need is a good pair of shoes. Our site has a BIIGGGG hill. Also don't miss the 2p joust on Memorial Day, we have a lovely tribute to fallen warriors, 3 Pints Gone will be singing the national anthem, all the members of the honor guard are either veterans or currently serving in the armed forces. Please stop by the honey booth (Femme Osage Apairy) and say HI!! I don't get out much! I haven't seen the show schedule for that weekend yet but I do know that 3 Pints Gone will be there, Vince Conaway and I believe the Limey Birds, but don't hold me to that one. I'll try to find out more next week.!!

There will be lots of us there that weekend! There's at least one other group that will be camping, a group that's staying a little further away, and probably more that will be staying closer to the faire site.

If everyone checks in with Keeley, we might be able to get a better idea of how many wenches are wandering about, so do stop in her shop when you get to it.

A good place to meet has usually been the pub and stage at the top of the hill, near the jousting area. Keeley is not joking about the hill, so pace yourself on the way up. There are plenty of shops, shows, things to see, and people to talk to on your way to the top (plus more shops and stages going down the other side of the hill!).

I'm only planning to be at the Faire on Sunday along with some others. We're also going to try to make plans for dinner that night, hopefully Keeley can give us some suggestions for the area, and everyone is invited to join us!

How to recognize me: I will likely be in leaf green and rose skirts, with a gray and cream bodice (don't recall seeing those colors on anyone last year, so hopefully I'll be recognizable). If the weather cooperates, I'll be wearing a large feather halo as my hairpiece, so that could help to.

Check the forum in Wench Watch too, there have been posts there as well!

I'll bring a book that everyone can sign in if they want, I also have a nice bench in the shade to rest on after that LOOOOONG climb. I'm on top of the hill next to the blacksmith and the chainmailers.

Memorial weekend looks to be beautiful (according to the current forecast, but there are still a couple more days, so that could change).

There seems to be a Bristol invasion this weekend, so I was wondering if we should try to get some opinions on dinner plans. I was thinking Sunday after closing, and somewhere nearby. All Wenches, Rogues, Mercs, Privateers, and others are more than welcome to join in!

In Wentzville, I have found Ruggeri's Italian, Stephania's Pizzeria, Applebee's, and West Allen Grill. If those don't sound good, we can look in some of the nearby towns.

I refuse to eat at Imo's. All the time I lived in St. Louis, I only ate there twice and both times it was like eating half cooked, mostly cold, gooey pizza dough. Ick!

BTW: Sylvie-Rose - if you'd like us to be in more pirate type garb, I could probably modify what Richard and I were going to wear.

Hope you all have a great time!

Garret & I loved it...well...until the litle one decied didn't have enough to drink. :(

Don't forget to stop in the Honey booth & say hello to our fellow Wenches! They have a bench in back that is a great place to cool off after the long walk up the "hill of death"! (And Bristol parade thought they had it bad...)

Have fun!!!

Looks like we will definitely be there Sunday, and a good chance of Saturday, except we'll be in 'danes that day (garb issues). I'll still check in with you on Sat. Keeley - maybe you can give me tips if there is anyplace at faire to buy halfway decent garb (Daughter out grew her skirts, and time got away from me before I could make new).

Can't wait to get back into faire!
