My sister and I went to the movies tonight after I got out of work. We went and had a nice salad before the movie and got to our seats about 5 minutes before the movie started. It was hilarious.

Someone else stated the case in a manner upon which I can't possibly improve, so I'll just paraphrase him here:

Eddie Albert [the warden from the original "The Longest Yard"] died the same week this remake was released.
I'm convinced that this was solely so that he could have a grave in which to roll over.

It's sad if that's the case. I saw both versions. I like both versions. I thought it was great that they didn't do a remake of the same old thing... meaning just doing the movie with new younger stars.

I went to see something that was FUNNY. And it was that. At least my sister and I and the other viewers thought so. I mean to see Kevin (Big Sexy) Nash, and Steve Austin as comedic characters was a real hoot.

I was glad I wasn't eating or drinking anything, I would have choked to death, AFTER I had spewed soda all over the people in front of me. Fizzy soda thru the nose isn't fun.
