I would like to have a Wench Meeting before Bristol opens to discuss activities for 2005, including Walk protocol, rules and regs, and other topics. Plus this will be the only time we will get to plant flowers at Griffin Candles and help sweep out and weed at other wench shops, including La Paloma and Magikal Glassworks. If you know of people who joined the Guild in the last year, please make sure to invite them!
We only have 2 weekends left before opening day! I would be willing to have 2 such meetings to make sure everyone who can come up to the site has a chance to. I think mornings would be best, before the days get too hot. I know some people are only available on Saturdays and other on Sundays. So why don't we suggest:
Sunday June 26 at noon (moved up from 11)
and
Saturday July 2 at 11am
Where: At Bristol (please park in the employee parking area by going in the gate to the north of the main gate), please gather at Griffin Candles. Please be courteous and keep voices down so we don't disturb any classes or rehersals going on.
Please plan to spend an hour at the meeting and an hour helping out. Significant others are welcome to join us for helping out at the shops!

I will be at the Sunday meeting - the 26th. What time are you planning on getting up to the Faire site? Should we bring lunch? Let me know if there is anything you need.

Alas, I cannot make either meeting, but I can still drop off topsoil for planting. If the raspberry bush is still in demand, let me know and I'll try to make arrangements to get it up there.

So Jezebel and Sarah can try to make the meeting, I am moving the Sunday June 26th one back to start at noon. We'll plant and then have the meeting during the cast lunch break so they can join us.

I can hopefully make it on the 2nd - I will still be in California until the 27th, so I'll miss the earlier one.
Let me know if there is anything I can bring!
I can make it to the second one. I have a show this weekend, yeah money lol.

If you have them, you can bring gardening gloves and tools. Also, if you'd like to bring some flowers to plant, donations are always welcome!

The first meeting went really well, but there's still lots to do and discuss before the gates open. Please let me know if you will be attending the meeting on Saturday so I know how many people to expect.

What types of plants are stil needed? I had a bunch of perennials that I had separated all ready to go, but unfortunately the weather claimed them (blasted drought!). I may be able to salvage some herbs, or I can donate some (like Lavender and Thyme), but not sure what is planned. I'm almost afraid to bring annuals if the weather stays the way it is.
Any idea what the watering conditions are (i.e. - does Bristol water at all, or just let things go as they will?). That would help to know!
Anyone need a ride from the western burbs area (Naperville/Joliet etc) - I will be driving the tank most likely, so lots of room. PM me if you want to carpool.

Thanks for the offer!
Unfortunately, Bristol does not water the plants, so it's up to us. I picked out full sun, drought hardy plants in the hopes they will make it through the season. We will try to water Friday night/Saturday morning and again at the end of the day on Sunday. They will have to fend for themselves during the week.
Herbs would be good. We'll find some place to tuck them in.
See you there!
