what do i do on my 40th bday?

next month i turn 40- YEA ME!!!

I currently have plans to go to disneyland (for free!)
I have had people asking me whether I am having a party or what? I was thinking of doing something the day after but am not sure what yet-

any good wenchy ideas?

Sleep in
take a long pampering bath or actually go to a spa and let them take care of you.
take a walk through the "vintage shopping district" of your city if you have one
go for a drive along the coast
do something "touristy" that you wouldn't usually think of doing because you're a local. (my husband and I used to live very close to a historical sight. I never been there and one day I just said, you know what.. you should should take me there. He blinked at me and say, you know, I don't think I've ever been there either, it was a fun day.)
call up someone you haven't seen in a while and meet them for coffee
rent a (or several movies) you never got around to seeing, or go to the theatre and see one you think you wanted to see but weren't sure if you'd like it(hope that gets your imaginative juices flowing)

I really don't have any suggestions myself. My last two really sucked so I was looking for ideas for my next one even though it's 11 months away.

Just do something that you've never done before. Be it skydiving, scuba diving or just a trip to Napa for a winery tour. Parties are fun too. Out doors if it's warm enough and even if it isn't, if you can have an outdoor fire where you live, that's good too.

Just have fun with it.

hmmm my 28th is coming up on the 14th... I used to get a massage, manchre* and pedicure for myself. Hit a movie.. Be crafty and not worry about housework..

i can't travel too far i have work & weddings.

I am thinking of a teahouse that i can go have fancy tea and goodies. I have never done that. I have planed teas for weddings and such but not gone myself.....

maybe a night at a comedy club....

we already planned sushi for valentines....

I unfortunately did nothing great for mine 2 yrs ago...

My dream is One of these years I will throw myself a surprise bday party I have been planning since I was turning 30. The surprise is the day it is thrown is not my bday!!!

Yes I want to throw myself a surprise Bday party ...I have the suckiest bday St. Pat's day (no one ever wants to go out toooo many drunks) I want do is throw my party on Halloween ... My want to be bday my most fav of all holidays. I want it to be a costumed ball sort of. But loads of fun.

In the Sci-Fi Fan Club that I belonged to once had a surprise, come as you are party. People in the club would get a call (kinda like starting the call tree) and be very casual about the conversation. Sometime during the call the person would ask what the other one was wearing and then say that they were invited as a come as you are party in what they were wearing at that time. Can be a bit risque & fun.
