Yeah you're right sorry. I just figured since everyone talks about how great pirates are it would get more exposure in the Hangout. 8)

(seriously, there's a difference, especially historically. I don't think any of us want to be a *present day* pirate....)

Yeah there is a difference but a lot of people here are pirates...not privateers.

I'm not a pirate or a privateer, just a wench. Fake pirates are cool, real pirates suck. Then again most people (but not everyone at least!) suck and they're not all pirates.

Yeah there is a difference but a lot of people here are pirates...not privateers.

I guess it depends on how you choose to define yourself, really. Me, I'm in the Guild of St. Errol (aka the Privateer's Guild)...although for simplicity, I may refer to my 'pirate garb' as such, I'm *not* a pirate. Or a pie rat, even. ;)
