'cause he asked for it. Now he's doped out of his fuzzy mind. His back paw keeps kicking out off & on. He's too out of it to actually start a fight with Siren. The birds have no power over him at this point.
I made a Catnip toy for both of them and then did a bit of "shake & bake" to coat the rabbit fur a bit more.
Let me see if I can post a pic of the after-effects.

I am deathly allegic to cats so I have no idea. Do they get goofy or rowdy when they eat/niff/play with catnip? What actually do they do with it?

They get stoned. It's Kitty marijuana.
Hilarious to watch. ::badhair:
They get stoned out of their little fuzzy minds. Miss Priss my sister's cat falls off of things, including the floor when she gets catnip.
Never never catnip a cat and then play the catch the red dot on the wall game. Somehow they never see the wall...

Some cats get mellow, some get hyper. Depends on the cat. And the brain cells they have left.

Wicked faire had a tea vendor. I bought a bag of her loose tea for winter colds. I got all my stuff into the house and the cat went bat shit crazy over this one shopping bag. I looked inside, it was the tea I bought (3 baggies). I look at the teas, and one of them has catnip in it!
I put the bag on a shelf that she can't reach, and went to bed. Next morning came, and everything on the shelf was on the floor and there was tea EVERYWHERE!!! Man, cats and their nip... lol

one of my furballs will take his catnip stuffed toys and soak it in his water dish until the water becomes catnip tea.... thats when the real damage begins.

I made the mistake of leaving the catnip on top of the microwave. I opened the door, turned around to get my food and . . .
Spike missed the top of the oven and slammed into the open oven! :unamused:

Siren likes specific brands of Catnip. Ursus doesn't care. If it's nip, it's his. I have bought 3 fresh catnip plants and have watched as he has managed to get to them and eat the whole plant; leaves, stem and roots. He even rolled in the dirt afterwards. Sometimes he will get really zonked out and just lay on the floor upside down kinda lookin' at the funny colors. Other times he gets super mean. He'll run around and attack anything that happens to move in the apartment.
As of late he has just been zoning out once he eats & rolls in the stuff.
I've tried to play chase the little red dot with him and he had no care for it. He was too out of it at the moment.

My Sonia is hyper anyways, we've barely ever been able to give her catnip.
My mom's cat Deke, on the other hand, will seek it out if he knows it's in the apt.
When we got Sonia we bought her a little pink cat bed that had an attached mouse. It was placed under my lizard tank so she's have a quiet place. She never used it, a few months ago Deke got under there and not only pulled the bed out by the mouse, but pulled it across the kitchen, tore the mouse off and apart, then the bed into my mom's room *rofl*

Now we all know that some of our kitties are addicted to the 'Nip. Have you actually read the package on some of the dried packages and even on the live plants that they sell at the pet stores.
On a few of them I have read that the herb is all natural & NON-ADDICTIVE. Uhh, Yeah. Like air & water aren't necessary to the function of life. Or in better perspective, coffee & chocolate.
