I wasted altogether too much time on this today:

It's really fun to test your knowledge of Victorian manners, equally as fun to play it the "wrong" way for the animations. Abducted by space aliens, attacked by giant bats, or ninjas. It's very Monty Python-esque...

There is one for the Roaring Twenties, too!

Enjoy!

I did very well with the outfits, but I had a crash course in Victorian etiquette last year so I could go to Dicken's on the Strand.

I did get one of the train station and one of the home questions wrong (I was thinking way too modernly), but I'm "a picture of politeness"!!

Love the music too!

Bravo! I'm a picture of politeness, w/only one faux pas in choosing the walking out dress.

I missed 2 questions because the answer I was looking for wasn't there!
(When you go down to dinner, the guests go down in order of rank, with the husband taking the highest-rank woman)

But yes, I chose all the clothing correctly and am the very picture of politeness - when I choose to be :)

Is anyone doing the male version as well? I was surprised that I did as well on that one as I did on the female one. I attribute it to all those novels read/movies watched...lol.

The twenties one was actually a bit trickier than the Victorian one, I thought. I didn't do as well on that one.

I actually did better on the men's than the women's version. Kept choosing the wrong dresses for the gals. *shrug* Showing those arms, you know... scandalous!

Yes, I did both, and actually missed about the same percentage of each.

Silly me for assuming that if the picture is of the outside of the house and they ask you which outfit to wear, it's presumed that they mean OUTSIDE the house like in the picture. I got dinged for picking the one with a coat on, because "You don't wear a coat indoors" and was lasered by men in pith helmets riding kangaroos.

The "convenience" and the present? Those were the ones I missed as well.

I missed those, too! Trying to remember what else I missed, I know there were a couple more. I picked one wrong female outfit, I think it was the dinner dress.

I managed to make it to picture of politeness for the men's side. Got two wrong on the wardrobe. I dressed too formally for the dinner party and not formally enough for dinner at home. Also tried to get a lady to dance with me when she was done with her current dance. Apparently a no-no but hey, I'm a rogue. The outfit for the formal ball I wouldn't be caught dead in.

I think those were exactly the same ones I missed for the men's side. Did still manage to be a picture of politeness tho!

I got the present, but took three tries to get the "convenience" one. But, I was so higly amused by the mistake animations that I didn't care. Corset and garters flying out of the bathroom? Getting my but kicked by an old biddy? I laughed myself silly!
