Not really an issue but I wasn't sure where to put this one.
I am not a civil war buff by any means, but I saw this story on my homepage and thought it was really cool. An example of an ordinary man trying to preserve history in a small way.

I was listening to NPR and they were doing the Grand Reveal live. They let the watchmakers relative read the message aloud. "My gosh, that was Lincoln's watch," he said, "and my ancestor put graffiti on it!" Made me laugh so hard. What an awesome story.

I also was listening the Reveal on NPR & could only think what kind of a person graffitis the Prez's watch. We all have family stories that can't be verified, but that this one came down the generations and was in fact true is a treasure.
