My MIL is working on her new sewing room and i wanted to get her a sign. Maybe a painted wood one for the door. Something like Diana's sewing room.

Then i thought it was boring and i can't find any cute painted sewing room signs on ebay right now.

my sign says on my door - Creativity is messy.....I'm REALLY creative
and i have the beware all who enter sign from pirates under it.

any ideas for a sign? Or where i can get one?

How crafty are you with wood and such?

I made my hubby a sign that says "Man Cave" out of an old scrap board and some individual wooden letters from Michael's. Painted the letters, glued them on and put a clear coat over the entire thing.

It turned out to be a pretty cheap project too.

My favorite sewing related statements are:

As ye sew, so shall ye rip

and

There are no mistakes in my craft, only opportunities for embellishment

I have a couple of signs in my craft room (it started out as my scrapbooking room but the scrapping supplies are being overtaken by sewing supplies :D ). One is yellow and black like a construction sign and says "CAUTION: Creative Zone" and another that says "Do not disturb- artist at work".

I have a large pair of plywood scissors hanging in my room. They close & open using a bolt. The blades are painted silver & the handles black. the blades are probably 4 inches wide. the whole thing is about 3 ft long. It was part of a fabric store window display & was given to my Mom many years ago. I've carted them around the country with me & they recieve lots of comments of where can they get some. PM me if you want a picture.
