Hi ladies,
This is a really crappy post to have to write, but it's worth it if it helps.
My friend Jerry just lost his 3 year old son Jeramy to cancer yesterday. He & his family are having a very rough time & could use all the good thoughts/energy you could send their way.
Not sure what else to say.... this just sucks beyond belief. No one should ever have to bury their child. Ever.
The services are on Thursday & it's going to be a rough day......

I lost my grandmother & uncle to it within the last 2 years, and my dad has been struggling with it for the last 3, so I am right there with you. It seems so trite when anyone says it, but time does heal.
I can only hope that my friend & his family know that his son is not hurting any more, and (if at all possible) that is one good thing to come from this horrible tragedy.

I cannot fathom the pain your friend is going through right now..or will go through for the rest of their lives. My heart goes out to the family.

As has already so eloquently been said, no one should ever have to say good-bye to their child or witness their child suffering in any way, shape or form. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend's family - may your mourning turn to happy memories of the time Jeremy spent here as an angel on Earth.
Dr. Phil talks about giving and finding meaning to your suffering and loss - perhaps in time your friends will have the opportunity to love and support someone else going through a family tragedy just as you love and support them now - or perhaps they'll find meaning by dedicating themselves to educating others about childhood cancer or by joining a support group and becoming mentors.
Dr. Phil also says time doesn't heal, but activity and a conscious choice to mourn and then move past the pain does heal - especially when one gives to others. I wish for you and your friends the chance to mourn and the chance to realize the blessings Jeremy brought - and then share those blessings with others so you may experience only joy in remembering and giving.
