A friend showed me this program last night--it's pretty crazy. You can find pretty much any location on Earth with this thing. It's free to download. It's not in real-time, but it's still pretty eerie. Big Brother is watching...

I just looked at it ! To bad that it doesn't seem to know the Netherlands  ! But I do have seen some great views of Earth !

Hey Myf...gimme' your co-ordinates so I can zoom all the way down to your cleavage.

Seriously though...awesome program. Only took me a minute to find my apartment. Some of the images are dated though. It shows construction right next to my building. That was done almost 2 years ago.

And Morg...I see the Netherlands. 8)

OK...now I've played with it a little more and it's interesting.

Here in north New Jersey about 20 minutes from NYC it shows the construction by my apartment (like I said) which was about 2 years ago. Plus...it does not show the new building next to where I work which was thrown up over a year ago.

However...it DOES show the swimming pool my brother just added to his property this past spring. Outside Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Strange.

we did this several weeks ago at work and could even see my boss' pool and the dirt on top of our office. I zoomed in on Disneyland and that was fun for me too.

Now now! ;)
Don't think it's QUITE that detailed...of course, in later versions of the program...

I zoomed in on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Very cool. Also, some of my favorite Indiana Jones filming spots.

Found my apt. complex and my work...as well as the U of A music building.

OK everybody at work is freaking out about this. I didn't notice it yesterday but we can all see our cars in the parking lot. Funny. 8)

Hehe, that's nothing. Google Earth only has the sat images available for public release. Military spy sattalites can read the numbers off your license plate.

The first place I went? Disneyworld! You can totally see Spaceship Earth and the castle. I just wish that when you play with the tilt the things would pop up. The castle is flat and Spaceship Earth looks like a pancake. But WOW! So freaking cool!

I think some areas were put into memory before others because I looked at the house where I live now and nothing. Went to my old place (moved in November of last year) and there is my car. :-) Neat-o!
