A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of male face a woman finds attractive can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For instance, if she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she is more prone to be attracted to a man with scissors lodged in his temple and a bat jammed up his ass while he's on fire.

No further studies are expected.

*raises hand and waves* Yoooooooooooooooo HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo uhm, I wanna point out that I've never had those tendencies... well uhm, almost never. But THAT marriage is long over and I've been fine since the divorce was final back in 1978. Okay, since I started carrying the 2 rifles out of and back into the house and he stopped following me in 1980.

But I want you to know that I never resorted to the scissors and baseball bat maneuver. There was that guy that I used to have fantasies about altering his inseam and sexual orientation with a 9mm. But I'm much better now.

Thanks, Jeannie, I love that one... and tis guaranteed that if men had to go thru this, that test would have been improved quite quickly.

I'm trying to remember the name of the show that was on several years ago. It was after "Designing Women" and started Annie Potts and Jay Silver. She had a tiny upscale restaurant and he was her boyfriend. (I think). Anyway he had to go have a mammogram and the women told him what it was like. "Imagine having your breast laid on a metal table and then having the entire set of the Encyclopedia Britanica (sp?) laid on top of your breast." So they go for the test and everyone in the waiting room thinks it is so wonderful of him to go support her during the test. Then he's called for the test. The nurses are all trying to figure out how they are gonna get enough of his breast into the machine and feeling him during the discussion. He blows up about being treated like he's not there. The nurses apologize and do the test.

The last scene is him leaving with her. She asks how it was and he says they didn't tell him everything. "Oh, yeah, we forgot to mention that the metal table is stored in the freezer til just before the test."

I think of that every time I have to go for what I call my "Flash 'em and Smash 'em".
