Hello, this is Kimber, the Merchant Wench from Festival of the Lion in Grafton, Massachusetts. I am new to the Guild and new to posting on Forums, so please bear with me if I sound a bit stilted :)

I am sending this Post to all who attended our Festival this past weekend - I am looking for your feedback on the weekend and any suggestions you may have for next year. If you would prefer to email me provately, send to fotl_merchant_wench@yahoo.com - otherwise, feel free to post - I am looking forward to hearing from you!

I came with a few friends on Sunday, volunteered on Saturday. The faire was really fun, but one thing is that it should be posted somewhere that it is a rain or shine event. I noticed that alot of people who were there had been going for years, but for people who have never been there, it's good to let them know some of how things go so that they are not pestering the workers asking questions that are easy to head off from the start.

Great faire, great merchants!!!

Kimber, I think we met while I was volunteering front gate on Sunday. We went Saturday for fun, and Sunday we volunteered both shifts. We absolutely loved the Faire and volunteering. I have not had that much fun in ages. Where else can you get Head in public?

My husband was working the Gaming Glen for a while in the afternoon. He said that while Jacob's Ladder and the Wac n Sac were out front in the open and got lots of visitors, the cross bows and dragon swing were sort of hidden. He felt fewer people knew about those games.

The only thing I can think of personally is to mark on the program which acts, if any, help move the story along. Don't get me wrong, we had a blast with or without a storyline, but I did not know who were cast and part of the story. (Did that make sense :?: )

OMG Lori were you the one at the front gate when a wench and rogue showed up almost 2 hrs late?
the wench had very long red hair?

Jayde, I don't think so. I was at the food and game ticket tent until about 1:00 or so.

When I was at the gate, though, I thought I saw you over by the Hostel. I wanted to hobble over and say Hi, but my toe was hurting so bad I only moved when absolutely necessary.

We will eventually get to meet in person. Are you going to KRF or CTRF?

hopefully we'll be at KRF on monday. I'll have my black and red outfit on that day......the bodice has a red embroidered skull and crossbones on it.

If we go this weekend, it will be Monday. I just need time to heel. Right now I need crutches to get very far. I somehow think the grounds of KRF would not be conducive to getting around on crutches. For a nasty account of why I will never get another pedicure, see my LiveJournal http://www.livejournal.com/users/violet_wench/.

If we do not go this Monday, we will most likely go next Sunday. Keith works most Saturdays since his boss is an ass and spends all year punishing him for taking a weeks vacation in May. Whoops, thats a rant for a different day.
