For my "home" faire - Scarborough, we drive right at an hour
We camp for TRF (after driving about 4 hours), same for Oklahoma

We drove to AZRF last year (about 100 miles or so), but that was just for a day at a time. I've had a few generous offers from some of our AZ wenches to stay with them overnight when I come up for entire weekends next year.

When I drive out for Scarby next year, I'll be staying with a friend of mine from the indygear.com forum.

Since irt doesn't look like I'll be able to get to KCRF, I will be trying to get to Sioux City. Some friends are going, and I should be able to carpool.

It's a first time faire. I want to encourage more of these.

The drive to my home faire is a little over an hour now that I have moved. I camp down at TRF. I grew up camping so I enjoy it!

I didn't vote since I was limited to only one choice. I live only 30-40 minutes from AzRF and "camp out" at home, stay with dear friends when working Koroneburg and Escondido, and stay at a motel when working San Diego and Big Bear.

I voted "other" because for FotL, (which is my home faire) I drive one hour; for VTRF in Guilford, 1hr; for KRF I drive 2 hrs; for CTRF I drive 1 hr, for Cloisters, I drive 4 hrs and stay with my folks, for PARF will drive 6-7 hrs and stay at a hotel; Killington, I drive 3 hrs.
Phew!!!!!!! Thank God/Goddess for the hybrid!!!

CTRF is our home Faire. For a one day visit we drive a little over 1 hour. When we do the whole weekend, we stay at a B&B.
FotL is about 45 min drive.
The King Arthur Faire and Robin Hood Faire at Hammond Castle are both about a one hour drive.
KRF is a one hour drive.
(all the above are about 50 - 60 miles from home. I LOVE Boston! :hearts: )
VTRF took 1 1/2 and we stayed at Econolodge.
PARen is 5-7 hours away. We'll be staying at a hotel. We're turning that into a vacation and staying the week. Assuming there is money left after a full season of CTRF

I am living in limbo. I live like 2 1/2 hours from ORF, and like 2 hours from MIRF. So I voted other. When we go to ORF we crash at my folks home, but for MIRF we havent decided whether we are going to get a room, or just drive up and back (with three kids mind you).

My home fair Colorado is a good 3 to 4 hour drive from home and since I work there I camp on site

But when I hopefully go to KCRF this year pending on money I might get a room or see if I can bully some friends into letting me stay with them.

When mum and I go to AZRF we stay with my Grandparents in Florence

So I am kinda in the middle

Do you know what dates you'll be coming out for AZRF? We should meet up.

I'm only half an hour (give or take) from my home faire, NYRF, so we drive daily.

If I'm travelling to a faire, for example PARF at the end of October, I'll stay at a hotel. My idea of roughing it is a hotel without room service, so camping is out of the question. Actually, that Pinch Pond place has cute little cabins, that might not be so bad, but I sitll wouldn't do it by choice.

HA HA HA!

Tell me about it.

This wench doesn't do "roughing it." Ugh. *shudders* Ew.

I like my luxuries, thenkyewverymuch. :bath:

So this roughing it thing.....people really do that.LOL
Really no room service, geez what are ya nuts. LOL
The campiest I get these days is not taking someone along to help with the kids. J/K.

I voted based on the furthest faire we travel to. Considering we drove 3 hours to VTRF, 3 hrs to Ansonia (SCRF), and roughly about 2hrs to CTRF and those are the ones we stay at hotels for, we also drive back and forth almost 1 1/2-2 hours to FotL and about the same for the day we will go to KRF
we live 20 minutes from both hammond castle faires, and about 5-10 minutes from the salem pirate faire.

..............and they wondered why I said good on gas AND reliable enough to last awhile when I went car shopping lol

With a great amount of luck I live within 20 min. of MIRF. It's even a straight shot down Dixie Hwy. for me to get there.

I camp for ExCal and this will be the first year that I camp for TRF. ExCal had frigid showers for campers, but don't know with the new site just yet.

Being newly squired to Chaos, it was almost a mandate from my sponsor to camp, but I love to camp. My rogue camps, but in high style, we just don't know if he will be making it this year or not.

I am trying to come up with a banner in the next couple of weeks. **sigh** I'm actually contemplating sitting behind a sewing machine again.

Well,
I have camped for Excal. for the past 5-6 years. I have stayed at Friend's houses for TRF & also stayed at Hotel/Motel's for TRF & Scarby. I've also just driven the houror 2 to Faire in Garb. So I would have to say all of the above.
