Update on TinkerWench

Ok, Tink had to have some surgery today (Lots of Lady-Stuff) along with a Biopsy of her left breast...

The surgery went very well and there were no complactions... Tink is resting here at home... she's a bit sore but has good drugs... wh still have no update on the biopsy but I'll post an update as soon as I know anything.

Sorry I haven't been more active at the board, but I've been a bit stressed and not in the mood.

But as soon as the belly quits hurting I'm ready for faire again. I miss meeting up with you guys.

At this point, won't know biopsy results til Monday. Bleah. Have no fingernails left to bite.

Here's the news.

I have pre-cancer. The calcification lump will be surgically removed and I'll go on Tamoxifen to help prevent cancer.

My doctor who just did my sterilization etc surgery called as soon as she saw the report to reassure me that it's not too big of a concern and to answer any questions. She said the surgeon they've got me scheduled with is really good too.

I'll know more after I talk to the surgeon on the 26th. When they did the biopsy, they left a tiny clip in there where the mass is, so they'll be able to pinpoint it exactly. This was found with a screening mammogram. I never felt anything prior to the mammogram. So if they tell you to get one - DO IT! LOL

THanks again for all the support. I took my first shower today. Bleach. My hair was so oily I was afraid the water would just roll right off when I tried to wash it.

Off to play some more pogo and continue to be pampered....

Techniques for surgeries have improved in leaps and bounds in the last few years. Thank goodness for mammograms! I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

Oh sweets...I'm so glad they caught it! I've had some pre-cancerous issues in the past that were luckily curable due to my making sure I go have my "annual" girly check-ups done. I'll keep you in my thoughts and stuff and you call if I can do anything!
