moving to dallas [Archive] - The Wench.Org Forums

i will be moving from nebraska to dallas later this summer, and im thinking id like to be a bit more involved than i have here (school/work/family issues abounded)---any dallas wenches out there willing to help me out?? :)

So it's maybe a little early but: Welcome to Texas!!

I'm not up around the Dallas area, but it seems that's where the bulk of the Texas Wenches are. We've got a YahooGroups thingie (listed under TXIWG, I think) where most of them post. Usually sounds like there's quite a bit going on up in that area!

i did live in dallas for 3 yrs about 10 yrs ago, so at least im familiar with the area, but most of the people i went to school with i havent had contact with or have moved, so ill be pretty much on my own---im really looking forward to living there again :)

I have lived in the Dallas area for quite some time. I will have some free time over the summer if you wish to give me a buzz. If you e-mail me, I will send you my number. Dallas is a big area. Do you know which part you will be living in? What ages are the kids? There are some wonderful activities for children down here.

thanks--i most likely will be in the south part (desoto,lancaster, maybe even waxahatchie) no kids, and no husband, just me and the kitties

Sorry about the misunderstanding. You will have a great time. Waxahachie is where Scarborough is, so only minutes away from Faire. Give me a holler when you have a chance. Us wenches down here would love to show you around.

I, too, am in the DFW area. Lucky you to be moving close to Scarborough Faire. If you are in need of assisstance feel free to PM me and I shall do my best to help out. Scarby (as we like to call it) is over now for the season, but am looking forward to meeting you next year at faire, if not sooner.
