Ok we just saw her surgeon… This Friday (Sept 30) Tink goes in at 8am to have a Lumpectomy on her left breast to remove the pre-cancerous mass they will not (at this point) have to take the whole breast… She should have a recovery time of about a week…
The Doctor seems to think everything should be pretty straight-forward and doesn’t foresee any problems, I’ll be keeping everyone posted as things progress from here.

whew!...from the sounds of it they caught it early. :) I hope the surgery goes well for you.
Just a little info, my sister -in-law has had a couple of surgeries for full blown cancer from her breast and she is doing very well. she has been cancer free for the last ten yrs, so they are doing wonders with the technology today.
Thinking of you in my prayers, :hi: Mum/aka Dottie

My mother was diagnosed 2 years ago.
It's awful that so many women go through this, but it sounds like they caught it early, and that's important.
There's tons of wonderful support groups that I know of if she is interested and thousands of wonderfully positive stories as well.
Lots of love and luck for a speedy recovery.

Hey sweetie... I've already told Eric he has to call me once you're out of surgery... and that he can call me during it if he's feeling antsy. You know how men are! Well we'll have tons of time to talk next week while you're relaxing with the kitties and playing pogo! Hugs to your Right Boob.

Well its 3pm here and we just got home from Hospital Tink is sleeping. The surgery went fine and the doctor says everything was just great. He doubts there will be any need for chemo... she has her follow-up on the 11th and we'll know if they got everything or if a more intensive removal is required but the Doctor is confident that wont be necessary.
Thanks to everyone for their well wishes, prayers, good thoughts, happy mojo and everything else... Im going to go kill things on Halo now and take a nap!

Tinker Lots of love, get plenty of rest, good food and cuddles from fat and normal size cats. Just tell Cass that he can't step on your boob, he may not understand completely, but it's how he shows his love.
Chris Being a man, I know you felt helpless about not being able to do something... now you have the oppurtunity to baby Tinker. The worry part is over now, take care of our woman. I should have realized that the blinking answering machine was for me.... sorry I wasn't here, took Dad to pick up his car.
I'll try to give you two a call as soon as I can (Ma's spring cleaning.. again).

I am glad to hear that things went well. Give her a gentle hug for me when she wakes up.
