    Default Question for Fibromyalgia people

Now that the subject has come up again, I have a question for all of you.

I was diagnosed after a number of set-backs in my therapy while recovering from a back injury. It explains why some days I feel like I've been repeated run-over and can barely move, let alone do all of my exercises.

I was referred to a massage therapist while I was in Milwaukee and over the course of a few months, proved to be a miracle worker. It turned out she had quite a few clients with fibromyalgia, and had asked each of them a long list of questions to see if she could come up with something each of us had in common.

    So my question(s) to you...

Did your symptoms start gradually or did you have a traumatic incident?

Did you go wading or swimming in very cold water (near freezing) when you were a kid?

No accident, mine hit right after my son was born. I didn't notice until the first time I went to lift him out of his crib at home. I dropped him, luckily he just fell back down onto the mattress, but I was so scared.

Nope, I'm terrified of water, so unless my drowning at the age of 6 (I was in a lake, not really cold though) did something, this is not a factor for me.
