Pictures to come shortly (the computer at home went down - needs a new network card). Pinot is utterly tiny. She is four-five weeks old and I can hold her in one hand when she sits up. The toes of her front feet are white (I told David he should have named her Pedicure), and she has a white stripe from the bottom of her throat to her belly. She has a very round kitten belly :) She also has a very short tail, not even two inches long.
We think she might actually be a black calico - there is some subtle ruddiness to her fur that might come out more as she gets older. Her eyes are blue, dark blue, which will change as she gets older.
She is eating solid food, mixed with milk replacement formula. She gets the wet mix three times a day and has dry food mixed with water in her "room" all the time. She lives in the closet in the office, with her very own fan. The other cats are not allowed in the office; in about four weeks, once she is old enough to be tested for FLV/FIV/FPV (provided those tests come back negative), she will be allowed to start mixing with the other cats. Fingers crossed for her, please.
Needless to say, we are totally in love with her already. She is very affectionate, loves to be held, and gives kisses.
Thrilled new cat mommy,
Dawn
