MALE NY Actor needed NOW for gig this weekend - know of any?

Hello,

In the entire city of New York, I cannot find an actor. I am in desperate
need for a male actor, experienced in working in improvisation at estivals,
to play the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham for the Central Park Renaissance Festival this weekend (July 19 & 20) Everyone I have tried to
get for this part has either been unavailable or backed out on me. I can
also adjust the part for someone who is more of a variety performer - you
could be one of Robin Hood's Merry Men instead of the Sheriff.

It should be an easy gig. No scripts, just mingling with the guests and
touting the finals of the World Archery Championships.

The actor must have his own costume - RenFest appropriate, be sane, and
relatively "clean cut". No visible piercings or tattoos. The performance
times are 9am - 4pm on Saturday, July 19th and 9am - 3pm on Sunday, July 20th. The location is the North Meadow at Central Park, entrance via 96th Street. It is being held in conjunction with the World Archery
Championships. Pay is $250 a day for a local actor.

This role must be filled by 5pm today, July 17th. Please e-mail me at

Thanks to quite a few of you who called or e-mailed regarding the New York
Central Park gig. I have filled the one last acting role available. I am
now a little less stressed .

An actor has been found, but since y'all were looking for info about the gig, thought I would post Carolyn's AFR post here for your info:

The Crimson Pirates will be performing, as will Fight School, Gigi the Mime,
Brian - I mean Desmond -I mean Dinty the Moor, Sexton the Jester, The Picked Punks (aka Stephon & Steve) and many new friends from the New York area. The event runs 9am to 4pm on the 19th and 9am to 3pm on the 20th. It is free.
