Default Rogue Show ROCKED! Pub Sing BEST EVER!

I just wanted to say those two things.

Kudos to the men behind the Rogue Show. Thank the management of NYRF to allow us this moment of fun 'adult' humor. It was tastefully done while still being one HELL of an event.

And I just wanted to say that the pub sing today, while DRENCHED, is definitely the best pub sing I've ever attended. The cast interaction and dancing was wonderful and everyone was so enthusiastic about singing.

Even Wild Mountain Thyme had an energy that I'd not seen before and that definitely was not drowned out by the rain.

I hope they are all like the one today. I do hope the Crimson Pirates start singing A Sailor's Prayer at Pub Sing, however. That would have brought down the house.

Thank you all for a fantastic day! I really needed it!

I think that the Pub Sing was absolutely amazing, too. The energy there was great and all the songs sounded wonderful. If we can have that energy level or better at faire when we *don't* have rain, I think that all will be right with the world.

Opening weekend at NYRF was great, even through the pouring rain. Kudos to all of the performers and workers at faire!

Well, it was a GREAT Rogues Show...we managed to hit both days in the rain!
Avhi, it was so nice to meet you, all be it a brief encounter, but we were so tired from the heat and sunburns the day before that we had to get home and sleep!

We will have to meet again for drinks(I wanna buy you a few!!!) and chat!!!

As for everyone else, go see the Rogue Show! It is a different show each time and even in the pouring rain it is a blast.
And ladies, brush up on the belching, believe it or not, it actually came in VERY handy at the Sunday show!!!!

I didn't go to Pub Sing on Sunday, and did make most of it on Saturday...and I have to admit I'm of mixed feelings about it being back in the Rogue's Gallery.

It's nice that more people can attend, sit down and see well. OTOH, having the 'barrier' of the stage coupled with the rows of seats made it feel less 'intimate' to me.

That said, the other times that we do make it up to Tux (this weekend and Labor Day definitely, and most likely closing weekend, since that's closest to my birfday <g>)....if I do go to Pub Sing, I've got to get out of Dodge *before* Wild Mountain Thyme.

Any of y'all who were there Saturday know why. :( :( That's not a performance I'm inclined to repeat -- too potentially disrupting, and that's not fair to anyone....and trust me, it's something that *will* happen again this year.

I thought, for some reason, that there were two pub sings going to happen at the same time in different locations...the one back in the Rogues Gallery for the more bawdy show, then the more family friendly out in the regular location, may be my mistake...
I could have sworn I was told that though......

NP querida. The puppetry of the codpiece was something Don and I bandied about for SWRF but it never "came up". I'm glad Lionel and Don "pulled it off"

and Sailor's Prayer was done on Sat., sorry ya missed it. i'll have to tell Dan to try and include it- but I was very happy he did Squid Jiggin' reel.
They did SP right after my cousin died at sea so it will always hold a special place in my heart. I like the new version

    Evening all!

I just wanted to come over here and let you all know what a grand time I had at the faire this year. This has to be the best one I have attended in such a long time. Both Sat & Sun's Rogue Shows in the rain were hilariously funny. I enjoyed it immensely. I do like the pub sing being in the Rogue's gallery as it was great fun on Saturday but even more so on Sunday evening. The rain could not even spoil that!

Thank you Local 69 for your warmth and hospitality to this Local 24 wench!

    Cheers!
