Since Snipe herself hasn't said anything, but she is online and there's info in the profile, I'm going to presume it's a program she installed.

I'm on the fence about it. If it floods everything daily, then it's not a good thing; but if it just spurts out the news once a day, then it's not so bad.

I just keep clicking "Mark posts as read" at the bottom of the forums page to get rid of them all.

Oh for crying out loud - relax. Its only adding a short number of posts to the selected forums, and the only reason there are so many right now is because it's the first time we're grabbing them. Give them a chance before you start screaming.

Yes ma'am - the feeds are coming from Google News, so they're safe.

These are the feeds I curently have set up:

Breast Cancer News --> We've Got Issues
Women's Issues News --> We've Got Issues
Reproductive Health News --> We've Got Issues

PC Game News --> Let the Games Begin

Renaissance Faire News --> Hussy's Hangout

Rotten Tomatoes Movie Releases --> Now Playing

I had added our animal cruelty news at first, since I know a lot of you are animal lovers, but then I changed my mind, since some of you may not want to deal with that.

Some of the feeds won't have new content daily - some will. They are set to check for new feeds at scheduled times. The feeds that won't be updating often (like ren faire news) are to every 12 hours.

None are currently set to retieve more than 3 stories at a fetch, regardless of how many new stories there are when it fetches.

If one or more feeds turns out to not have anything of interest, we can always delete it. Or, if there are newsfeeds that several people would like to include, we can always add them. Its up to you guys.
