I hate asking this here but I have a friend in bad trouble and needs help...

I have a friend in Iowa that husband just filed for divorce, and trying to get her son... she has always been a stay at home mom, I need help finding people who can help her get an Attorney, work, services etc! this is very important.. she lives in Ankeny, 20 miles from Des Moines... she has no car, but she needs all the help we can give her, so please ladies, any one who can send info please do so... I know if we pull together we can help her out!!!

For legal help, she should contact her county's Legal Aid society -- they provide free/reduced cost legal assistance to people who qualify.

Does she have access to transportation in order to work if she doesn't have a car?

Also, most counties have some sort of office to provide assistance to 'displaced homemakers' - women who have been at home and who, either through divorce, death or abuse situations, find themselves in need of employment and/or getting new job skills, interview/resume help, etc.
