    Default Pirate coat pattern

Can anyone recommend a pirate/captain's coat pattern?

Hubby is dying for one and the only pattern I've found is a McCall's (?).

    Thanks,
    Rho

I know I sound like a stuck record, but check out the patterns on Grannd Garb's site. www.granndgarb.com She has a lot of nifty historical patterns. Also, Jas. Townsend sells period patterns, although more from the 18th and 19th centuries.

    Hope this helps!

I just bought the simplicity spirit of 1776 pattern (Ben Franklin, guy in frock coat and buckskinner on pattern) and I;m goingto use that but make the "skirt" of the coat fuller.

I think the coat is 6 pieces. It looks pretty easy.

Now if patterns came already cut out... then life would be grand!!
