Hermia loves Lysander and Helena loves Demetrius – but Demetrius is supposed to be marrying Hermia. When the Duke of Athens tries to enforce the marriage, the lovers take refuge in the woods outside the city, and walk into the midst of a dispute between the king and queen of the fairies. And they are not alone. So, too, does a group of amateur actors rehearsing a play. Between the angry fairies, the bumbling players and the dazed lovers, flies Puck armed with a love juice capable of making anyone fall for the first person they set eyes upon – no matter how unsuitable.
Shakespeare put some of his most dazzling dramatic poetry at the service of this teasing, glittering, very funny and amazingly inventive play, whose seriousness is fleetingly glimpsed beneath its dreamlike surface.

I don't get enough vacation at my job to take off from May to October.

I'm thinking of going from the 7th to the 21st. Of course, if I push the trip back a bit MORE, I could see "The Merry Wives of Windsor," too. But the cost of the peak-season flight would kill me.

Oh you lucky woman. I'll be busy just having gotten married so no vacation right after that - hey honeymoon in London!.

I got to see Macbeth there. I think I didn't blink the entire time....

Gaw-- how do you afford to go over there right now, with the dollar value the way it is today? You are literally spending double your cash!

I went in '06. It was bad, but not as heinous as it is now. The thing THIS time around is I have a friend moving over there in three weeks, so I'll have a free place to stay. And as I literally turn the whole thing into a buying and research trip, much of it is write-off-able.


It was a joke last time-- that this was a business trip. But once I got there, I went to the Shakespeare museum, the V&A costume collection, saw a play at The Globe, and bought exquisite corset fabrics. There wasn't a single day I didn't do SOMETHING for my business. I was actually kind of stunned: I'm not used to the concept of a career rather than a job! I LOVE what I do!

Not sure yet, company says early spring now. It all depends on when someone gets around to buying the airfare. I do plan on staying over for a bit after the company paid portion is over. I thought I wanted to rent a car and drive around Ireland, now I can't decide if I want to do that or go to Scotland. I saw this special on the haunted underground of Edinburgh so I can't decide..........
