Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament Celebrates Twenty Years
KISSIMMEE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 2004
-- A Brand New Show Adds a Romantic Twist with Daring New Stunts
and Spectacular Special Effects, Bringing a New Adventure to the
Knights of Medieval Times...
It was twenty years ago that Medieval Times Dinner and
Tournament opened the gates of its 1100-seat castle to skeptics
and people uncertain of eating in a restaurant with horses. That
was 30 million guests ago and now Medieval Times, not only
continues to draw huge audiences to its legendary dinner and
tournament in Kissimmee, but has just opened its 8th castle in
North America located in the Washington/Baltimore metropolitan
area...
In recent months Medieval Times' creative team joined together
with award-winning composer Daniel May to create a dramatic new
show. The results of the collaboration are phenomenal with all
of the lance-splitting action of the jousting matches and
tournament games guests have enjoyed for two decades, but now
with a new, more romantic storyline, visual and audio special
effects using state-of-the art technology, the debut of an
exquisite coal-black Friesian stallion and breath-taking
choreography . . .
both by the actors and the horses. The biggest and most
significant change of all is the orchestration and original
score, recorded by the City of Prague Philharmonic and
accompanied by a 60-voice professional Czech choir. The newly
scripted and scored show has received exceptional acclaim by
visitors to Medieval Times' castles throughout North America.
