Local #42's Team Wench is starting on our first cookbook and we need
your help!
This cookbook is being created to raise funds for the Capital Area Food
Bank, a DC based food charity that serves the Capital as well as
Maryland and Virginia with more than 750 food programs. More about the
Capital Area Food Bank can be found at http://www.capitalareafoodbank.org.
We need your input to make this work!
Are you famous for chocolate mousse or pumpkin pie? Is your grandfather's chili still the most amazing you've ever tried? Did your college roommate teach you the best fruit salad recipe on the planet? Do your New Year's celebrations always include Uncle Joe's Hoppin' John or Grossmom's pork and sauerkraut? ARE YOU WILLING TO SHARE? IF SO, WE NEED YOUR CULINARY INPUT!
Please send us your recipes along with short (2-3 sentences) paragraphs
about each! Explanatory bits can be anything from a memory of a time
the recipe was used to a short description of the final product and
will be used whenever space permits. If your recipe is especially
unusual or makes use of hard to find ingredients please let us know
that too.
*Some* of the categories that may be included are:
Faire Food (including period recipes and current Rennie Favorites for
picnicking at faire)
Sweet and Saucy (Desserts)
Savories from Soupes to Sallets (soups, salads, and sides)
